As you make your way through the main story of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, you will slowly level up your characters. By the time you finish the main story, your characters will likely be around level 50. To gain more experience, you’re going to need to do a little grinding in order to reach the max level of 70. With the right set of enemies, though, this won’t take very long at all. There are a few spots where you can do this, but one spot is a little easier than usual.
Where to Farm Experience¶
Once you beat the main story, you will unlock the ability to do Chapter Selection. This allows you to basically start over from the beginning of any chapter in the game. For this leveling trick, you’re going to choose Chapter 13 and you’re going to reset all of the quest data here when given the option. Now, you can choose Hard here if you want, as it seems enemies give more experience than on Normal or Easy, but you can also do things on Normal if you want, as things can still go quickly. Note that doing it on Hard can also net you a Manuscript for Tifa, as long as you finish the quest in the end.
Basically, you’re going to choose Chapter 13, reset all quest data and optionally choose Hard Mode (it does make it a lot faster). Once you’re in the game, skip the initial cutscene and get off of the boat. From there, fast travel to Nibelheim and head into Cloud’s house, where you should see the Head Chef there with a quest. This is the My White-Haired Angel quest, so start it up and progress the quest until you start fighting the bees. Since you’re in the postgame, the bees will give a lot more experience than normally, so your levels will start going up very quickly.
When you make it to the end of the quest, you’ll have to do battle against the Queen Bee, but the catch here is that you don’t want to kill her. The reason for this is that she’ll continually spawn more normal bees to fight, upon defeating all of the others. You just need to be careful of her attacks, especially since she can poison your characters, so make sure to have some healing, just in case. It also doesn’t hurt to have a Revival Materia on everyone, too. As you’re killing the Guard Bees, you should see your level shoot up very quickly.
Once you reach level 70, do a few more rounds, since not everyone in your party might have gotten there yet. Should you accidentally kill the Queen Bee, simply go to Chapter Selection and do the same thing as the start. When you’re done, especially on Hard Mode, you’ll gain the manuscript for Tifa and you can feel free to finish the rest of the quest.
