The Item Transmuter allows you to craft a variety of equipment which will massively strengthen your party, but acquiring the Transmuter Chip that’ll allow you to craft the Genji Gear can be quite challenging and a lot of steps are involved. On this page, we’ll provide you with the necessary steps to finding the Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip Location¶
You’ll need to challenge and defeat Gilgamesh in order to acquire the Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip that’ll allow you craft the Genji Gear, but before you can do that you’ll need to find and complete the protorelic world Intel in the Grasslands, Junon, Corel, Gongaga, Cosmo Canyon, and Nibel Regions.

- All Nibel Protorelic Locations - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Once you’ve completed all of the protorelics you’ll need to obtain all of the summon materia from Chadley’s Combat Simulator and there is Titan (Grasslands), Phoenix (Junon), Alexander (Corel), Kujata (Gongaga), Bahamut Arisen (Cosmo Canyon), and Odin (Nibel) to obtain. If you’re having trouble taking on these challenging opponents, then you can decrease the difficulty by finding and completing the divine Intel in the specific region.

With all of the protorelics and summon materia in your possession, a new Phenomenon Intel which leads you to Gilgamesh Island will become available in the Meridian Sea and you can reach this via the Tiny Bronco in Chapter 13. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to challenge Gilgamesh just yet as you’ll need to defeat all of the summons once more, but this time around you’ll be facing two at a time. After these have been dealt with, you’ll be able to face the one and only Gilgamesh. Beating him will give you the Gilgamesh Materia and Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip as a reward.
Genji Armaments Crafting Items¶
Now that you’ve finally got the Genji Armaments Transmuter Chip in your possession, you’ll be able to craft the Genji’s Earrings, Genji Gloves, and the Genji Ring. One of the materials needed to craft them is a Pirate Jetsam and you can acquire these by roaming the Meridian Sea with the Corsair’s Compass. If you’re struggling to find the relics needed to craft the compass, then check out our How to Get Pirate Jetsam - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth page for their locations.
Genji’s Earrings¶
The Genji’s Earring increases damage dealt by 15% but also increases damage taken by 15% so you’ll only want to use this if you’re confident at guarding and dodging attacks.
Genji Gloves¶
The Genji Gloves will allow you to break the 9,999 damage limit, so you’ll want to equip it on someone who can deal lots of damage like Tifa, as she can put out huge numbers if you use her Unbridled Strength Combo
Genji Ring¶
The Genji Ring reduces damage taken by 15% but also reduces damage dealt by 15%, so it’s another one where you’ll only want to equip it in certain situations like fighting a specific boss where you may struggle to avoid a lot of the attacks.
