Lords of the Fallen (2023)

How to Respec in Lords of the Fallen

By
Matt Chard

Like many Soulslike games, you have an idea of what your build should be, then you’ll find an awesome weapon, and that build goes out of the window. Well, the same can be said with Lords of the Fallen, as it’s no different, and you may be wondering if you can Respec in it and if so, how you do it. Well, to answer the question, yes you can, but you are somewhat limited until the later parts of the game. Read below to find out exactly what you need to do to Respec in Lords of the Fallen.

Can you Respec?

As briefly stated above, you can respec, but it won’t be available at the start of the game. So, what do you need to Respec, you ask? Well, a Rebirth Chrysalis. Now, these are limited until you can rank up the Umbral Shrine which allows you to purchase infinite of them, but it’s costly. When you have a Rebirth Chrysalis, head over to Pieta in Skyrest, and you’ll be able to select “Reset Build” which allows you to reinvest all the Vigor you’ve spent. Note, that this will reset it to what the original classes base stats were. So, if you chose the Exiled Stalker class as your class, then your Agility will stay at 16 regardless if you respec or not.

When you have a Rebirth Chrysalis, speak to Pieta in Skyrest, and select Reset Build.

Where to Find Rebirth Chrysalises (Respec Items)

There are four Rebirth Chrysalises you can find as loot in the world before you need to tap into the infinite pool of resources from the Umbral Shrine if you need any more. Unfortunately, that isn’t cheap. Read below on where to find all the Rebirth Chrysalises in Lords of the Fallen.

(1 of 3) Switch to Umbral Realm and then head up the stairs opposite Pieta to find Molhu. You can purchase a Rebirth Chrysalis from it as soon as you reach Skyrest.

  • Rebirth Chrysalis 1: The first one you will pick up is from Molhu at Skyrest who sells one for 8,500 Vigor (souls). You can access Molhu’s shop by switching over to the Umbral Realm in Skyrest and heading up the stairs opposite where Pieta is standing.
  • Rebirth Chrysalis 2: You can find one as World Loot in the Fief of the Chill Curse: After beating the Fief beacon boss. Go through the beacon’s tower, enter the Umbral Realm, then go into the nearby river. From there, turn left and follow the river bed down. You will come across a ruined village you can enter by Soul Flaying some barriers, one of the rooms you can enter on the left has an item pick-up containing the rebirth chrysalis.
  • Rebirth Chrysalis 3: You can find one as World Loot in the Tower of Penance: In one of the upper cells that you access via some parkour from the very top of the tower.
  • Rebirth Chrysalis 4: An NPC called Winterberry sells one, although you won’t talk to them until a lot later in the game.
  • Rebirth Chrysalis 5+: The Umbral Shrine next to Molhu in Skyrest has an infinite amount you can purchase. Unfortunately, they only unlock when the shrine reaches tier 2 which is tied to the community as a whole. Even then, it will cost you 250 plucked eyeballs per Rebirth Chrysalis.
