Here’s everything you need to know about the Stomund questline in Lords of the Fallen.
Stomund’s Quest Walkthrough in LOTF¶
When you get to the Skyrest after beating the Fief, you will find Stomund’s Note on the floor. This note tells you to go through the door in the Bellroom Vestige in Pilgrim’s Perch, requiring the Pilgrim’s Perch key to access. From there, you can enter the Bellrise region, defeat the boss, and ascend towards the Manse of Hallowed Brothers. Complete this region as normal, and then go through into the Tower of Penance and beat the guardian boss. As you complete that zone, you will unlock the Abbey of Hallowed Sisters, located by a gate in the church garden on the Manse. This gate is revealed by its pink flowery gate. As you enter, you will find Stomund waiting for you.
Speak to Stomund, and he tells you he wishes to see Judge Cleric and plee to her. So, your task is to find two items to forge a banner he can take to Judge Cleric. The items are as follows:
- Damaged Standard: Located in the Catacomb area of the Manse of Hallowed Brothers. Follow the first path up from the first Vestige into the guarded camp area below the Manse. From there enter the stone pathway into the tunnel area. Follow the tunnel towards a flooded cell down some stairs and you can claim the standard inside it.
- Tattered Banner: Located in the Abbey of Hallowed Sisters. Go through the level as normal, and when you reach the church building beyond the square abbey area where Stomund is, you can enter the church. You’ll know you’re there when you find the weird biology hanging from the ceilings. Climbs the stairs, then head through the pathway guarded by two dogs near an opening on the far end of the upstairs church. This will take you to where an Abbess mage is located on a platform, with an umbral crossing to where a Saintly Quintessence is. Defeat the mage to gain the Tattered Banner.
You should be able to hand over the Damaged Standard to Stomund when you find him inside the square-shaped outdoor abbey area. He will be on the next story above, hiding some crates and destructibles facing the tree in the square. To find this location, continue to move through the garden area of the Hallowed Sisters, and navigate through the broken corridor area, up some more stairs, and you’ll find a spiky hat man guarding an entrance to a building with a tree in the ground, near a vestige seed spot. Enter that area, and find the stairs at the back of the grounds climb up to the next floor, and look for the destructible cover.
However, the Tattered Banner comes slightly later as you cross into the second half of the area. You will need to return to this location to give Stomund the Tattered Banner.
If you hand over the two items to him, you will then get an update later on in an area known as the Empyrean. This is a small area that leads to the beacon inside the Hallowed Sisters region. When in the area, you shall find Stomund again, and be able to get an item set, and the completed banner called the Banner of Our Immaculate Lady. It is currently unclear what quest this item is related to, but, chances are, it’s likely something to do with a weapon quest since most side quest items are accounted for in current player knowledge. This is speculation on our part, so, if we find out what this item is used for, we shall update the page with more information.
You will also get the trophy, Faithful for completing all of these steps.
