The marketplace will not travel with you, so the owner of the market will differ by village. That’s almost purely aesthetic, however.

The marketplace is where you can purchase items such as Herbs, which you could alternatively gather, and other items like Trap Tools and barrels, which are either hard to find or outright impossible to find when questing. There’s also other nifty items like Whetstones and Gunner Ammo .

There are also valuable books that you can purchase. Books of Combos are going to be invaluable additions to your item box as soon as you can afford to get them.

As long as they are in your box, you will have a raised chance of succeeding at combinations, which is important for combinations with low success rates, such as Max Potions or Ancient Potions , which otherwise could fail and give you garbage! Literally, an item called “Garbage” that is as worthless as it sounds.

Other books are books that will increase your item box space, and books that will add monsters to your Guild Card list. Be sure to buy these books whenever you can! Aside from the combo books, all the other books are one-time purchases.
