Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Congalala

By
Vincent Lau

Congalala is an alpha species of Conga that has grown incredibly large. On its own, Congalala is not very threatening. However, Congalala is more or less the embodiment of “you are what you eat”, and depending on what kind of plants it eats, it can spit fiery breath, or fart disgusting gas. In addition, it can use its girth in an attempt to crush you, making it surprisingly formidable and agile for its weight.

**Area** **Start** **Roam** **Rest**
Sunken Hollow 8 1, 4, 6 2
Primal Forest 2 5, 7 6
Heaven’s Mount 2 1, 5, 6 7

Attacks

Claw Swipe: Congalala will swipe at you. This has slight range to the side as Congalala’s body twists, but otherwise is a minor attack.

Triple Swipe: Similar to Lagombi, Congalala will swipe three times, but very rapidly. Afterwards, as if exhausted, Congalala will fall flat on its back. If you are close to Congalala you will have some small tremors.

Charge: Congalala will charge towards you on all fours. It’s a short charge, but happens very fast and the damage can add up.

Tummy Puff: This is more of a defensive move than anything. Congalala will puff up its tummy, causing weapons of all sharpness to bounce off. Shortly after it runs out of breath it will fall over.

Belly Flop: Congalala will jump up and then land heavily on the ground. This causes heavier tremors.

Fart: Congalala will literally fart on you. This causes the Soiled status, so bring Deodorants.

Poo Toss: If Congalala has eaten something, it will use its tail to fling its poop at you. Not only is it nasty, but it can cause Soiled.

Barf Attack: Congalala inhales, then breathes out nasty air, sweeping left and right. The breath type will change depending on what mushrooms it has eaten, if any. If Congalala hasn’t eaten anything special, it is default stinky breath that causes Soiled. Fire breath causes very high damage and inflicts fireblight, poison breath inflicts poison, sleep breath causes sleep.

Breakable Haircuts

Comb: Give Congalala a haircut!

Claw: Each can be broken once. Claw is visibly chipped.

Weaknesses

Elemental: Fire, Ice

Status: Blast
