Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Tigerstripe Zamtrios

By
Vincent Lau

Unlike its cousin, Tigerstripe Zamtrios prefers to hide out in the heat of the unforgiving Dunes. As a result, it wields paralyzing breath, tiger-mottled hide for camouflage, and the most foul demeanor known to all amphibians elsewhere. Bring the right kind of Drinks and be careful!

Attacks

Zamtrios had a pretty scripted battle: After rage mode, it would go into its fatty mode and then deflated shortly after. Well, Tigerstripe Zamtrios scoffs at such predictability, and as such its newest gimmick is its ability to inflate and deflate suddenly, without warning, and to your detriment if you’re standing too close by. Tigerstripe Zamtrios loses no mobility either as it morphs between its two modes, capable of bouncing faster than your eye can follow even when it’s all blown up.

In general, Tigerstripe Zamtrios is similar to Berserk Tetsucabra in terms of personality: Ruthless, unpredictable, spends a lot of time enraged, and leaves very little time between its attacks. Tread with care.

Deflating Laser: When Tigerstripe Zamtrios deflates, it will not deflate slowly and with a gentle demeanor that lets it stay open for attacks. Oh, no, no, Tigerstripe Zamtrios will leap back and blast you point blank with a wide-range water laser that will hit like a truck. This attack can be blocked without Guard Up , for those of you who like your shields.

Paralyzing Spit: Instead of firing ice balls, Tigerstripe Zamtrios, similar to Berserk Tetsucabra, will spit globs of saliva capable of paralyzing you. This is one of the easier attacks to dodge.

Bowling Ball: Tigerstripe Zamtrios will roll multiple times from one end of the stage to another, unlike Zamtrios who had a tendency to just do one revolution and then call it quits. Just stay away until it has completely stopped rolling.
