Sniper Elite 5 includes the option of additional purchases in the way of a Season Pass, or, at launch, an extra downloadable mission called Wolf Mountain, where you get to target Adolf Hitler.
But, with future content not yet unveiled we look at what Rebellion has told us so far - we have a content roadmap at least so we can predict a little about what we might get further down the line with Sniper Elite 5.
What’s in the Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass?¶
For starters you get the Wolf Mountain mission DLC without having to pay extra (beyond the Season Pass cost obviously). This is good because (at this early stage) the mission is not as polished as the previously included eight (plus Loose Ends) that come with the base game.
The Season Pass is being billed as Season Pass One, which obviously suggests at least some vague notion of further Season Passes further down the road - does this indicate Rebellion see Sniper Elite 5 as a game that is going to stick around for the long haul? Potentially.
Anyway, Season Pass One seems to indicate players will receive (over the lifespan of the pass)
- 2 missions
- 6 weapon packs
- 2 weapon skins
- 2 character skins
All of this content will also be available to purchase separately.
Should I get the Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass¶
If you play multiplayer Sniper Elite 5 then there are things included here that might appeal in terms of the number of cosmetics that will be on offer. Two extra missions (plus Wolf Mountain) might equate to a couple of hours of gameplay for single players, which, when you consider the cost, may not pass the value for money threshold for some people.
If you are a collector though you are going to want the extra goodies on offer.
When is the Sniper Elite Season Pass content available?¶
As yet Rebellion have not released any details of when we can expect to see any of the new content. We anticipate the first batch won’t be too far away though.
How much is the Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass?¶
The Sniper Elite 5 Season Pass will set you back $34.99 / £29.99 which is not exactly cheap in a world we pay considerably less for Season Passes for the likes of Apex Legends and Fortnite. To be fair, it is a slightly different offering but we think it is a bit of a hard sell to all but those most heavily invested in the Sniper Elite universe.
