The French semi-automatic WW1 era rifle is hugely powerful at close range but has a poor range and is a heavy old beast meaning mobility is greatly reduced.
RSC 1918 Pros and Cons¶
Second only to the Karabiner in terms of short-range stopping power, the RSC 1918 is a handy weapon to have slung across your back when it comes to a firefight but is less than impressive for long-range kills, as its bullet drop is insane. You can rectify things at the workbench to a degree but you are unlikely to ever be happy with its sniping ability.
Pros¶
- Deadly at close range
- Rapid fire
Cons¶
- Long time to aim
- Extreme bullet drop
Audible Range¶
With it’s weight and mobility issues also comes the fact it is the second loudest rifle in the game with an audible range of 150m. They are going to hear you gunning for a fair distance here.
Zoom¶
The zoom is just 6x here which is perfectly fine when you factor in that it is a poor weapon at long range. Any more and it would be pretty much unusable anyway without severe compensation for the bullet drop.
Magazine size¶
Carrying just five shells is a shame because with this weapon being so good for close combat it would be great if we didn’t need to reload it so often. Such is life.
How to get the RSC 1918 in Sniper Elite 5¶
