With the Atlantic Wall well behind you, you have had enough of the seaside and so it is a good job Mission 2 sees you head inland to wine country and Chateau De Berengar. The date is May 29th 1944 and you are sent in by the Resistance to confirm rumours of a top-secret Nazi plan before exfiltrating back out again.
There aren’t nearly as many optional objectives in this mission - just the one in fact, but it is a fiddly one that will have you hunting around a fair bit.
Objective
Get into Nazi boss Abelard Möller’s office and discover what the top secret plans are that have been rumoured to be in place. Moller isn’t there himself but all his guards are still in the vicinity so it won;t be easy.
Work you way gradually into the grounds, clearing as many enemies as possible, and make sure you check in at all the workbenches to upgrade your weapons and unlock new gear as you progress.
Optional objectives
Optional objectives will only appear to you when you are close to the area.
Recover the Stolen Antiques (3)
The three golden statuettes have been taken by the Nazi’s and to complete the task and improve your ranking with the Resistance by returning them, they need to be located.
Statue 1: You will find this statue by searching the body of the sniper in the tower that causes you issues if you stray to the eastern side of the chateau. You need to take him out sooner rather than later as he will be taking harmful potshots at you until you do.
Statue 2: Head the very top floor of the chateau until you find a series of soldiers’ barrack rooms. In one of them will be a locked truck you will need to pick or use your bolt cutters on. The second statue is there.
Statue 3: The third and final antique of the quest is hidden in Kümmler’s quarters in the Western wing of the castle. There is a safe hidden behind a picture (see image) that you can blow with a satchel charge to reveal the hidden treasure.
