Well, Mission 7: Secret Weapons in Sniper Elite 5 is certainly just that - a right mission. With some many places to visit and so many mini objectives to deal with it’s easy to almost forget that you need to be hunting for the workbenches in order to get the weapon unlocks here.
Where to find the workbenches in Mission 7: Secret Weapons¶
Indeed, the workbenches and the Stone Eagles in Mission 7 seem to have been ramped up in difficulty finding them. It’s almost like the devs have had enough of our easy ride and have now pressed the Fiendish button. But we have them all for you (obviously), so let’s lay out their whereabouts.
Workbench 1 - Pistol workbench¶
The Pistol Workbench is the easiest to get to in terms of location as it can be reached quickly from the start. Head for the area on the map above and locate the bridge. It is guarded so be careful. Take the side track down the side of the bridge and you should notice a resistance symbols daubed on the bridge itself. If you turn around you will see what looks like a cave entrance covered by a barricade. Dismantle the barricade and you will find the Pistol Workshop and its unlocks.
Workbench 2 - SMG workbench¶
The one is right in the thick of things and it’s probably better to deal with everything going on around you before attempting to locate it, unless you stumble on it by accident on your way round.
It is in the Main Dome itself, As you make your way around the circular dome you are looking for a Waffenkammer side. If you peer around through the door you will notice a soldier standing there, asking to be melee killed. Don’t, because he has two friends as well, hiding out of side, so you’re going to need a silenced weapon. Finish them off and follow this corridor down to the end and you will find a locked door. Behind it is the SMG workbench.
Workbench 3 - Rifle workbench¶
Exit the dome and before heading to the secondary missions of destroying the V2, set a marker for the point on our map. We cut across through the hills and approached it from the rear and you can just climb into it. You can come at it the other way and deal with all the guards first should you prefer.
