Description¶
This galaxy is found within the Garden dome, and requires 53 Power Stars to unlock.
The Sinking Lava Spire¶
Your goal in this level is to make your way through the galaxy to then climb up the sinking spire to reach the Power Star. There is also a hidden star available in this level, Burning Tide.
Enemies¶
-
Li’l Cinders - Li’l cinders are small floating rock creatures that ignite themselves by taking a quick swim in the lava. To put out their fires, spin in their vicinity and they’ll be extinquished. When they’re no longer fiery, you can run up and boot them away.
-
Fire Jets - Fire will periodically shoot out from the ground. If you’re caught in one, you’ll take some burn damage!
-
Fireballs - These are large fiery orbs that shoot out from lava like comets. If you get caught in one, you’ll be burnt and your bubble will be popped (if you’re in one).
-
Lava Geysers - These shoot out periodically from bodies of lava. If you jump into one or get caught in one, you’ll take burn damage.
-
Boulders - Boulders will essentially just run over you if you’re in their path. To break them, you need to spin attack their ruby core, which is easier said than done!
Through the Meteor Storm¶
In the final section of this level, you will need to roll on a Star Ball, like you have done in Rolling in the Clouds.
Rolling on the Star Ball¶
You will need to use motion controls to move the ball around. You can do this in handheld or docked; if you choose to play handheld then you’ll need to tilt the whole Switch console and if you’re using the Joy-Cons or a Pro Controller whilst the Switch is docked, then you tilt and move around with those instead. You can also jump by pressing A/B. You can also brake whilst rolling and bring the ball to a fairly quick stop if you tilt your controller/console inwards (or towards you).
New Enemies¶
-
Meteors - Throughout this level, meteors will fall from the sky and crash into the ground. They’re easy to avoid but if you’re caught under one you’ll take some damage.
-
Thwomps - If you’re caught under a Thwomp when it comes crashing down onto the ground, you’ll get squashed and lose a life instantly. They’re indestructable unless you have a Rainbow Star.
-
Lava Bubbles - Lava Bubbles will follow you around slowly, trying to burn you. The only way to defeat them is to shoot Star Bits at them. They’ll follow Mario around and try to burn him.
-
Bullet Bills - Bullet Bills will lock onto you like a homing missile and follow you in hopes of crashing into you. You can easily guide them into obstacles to destroy them before they catch up with you.
Other Enemies¶
- Lava Geysers
- Li’l Cinders
- Fire Jets
Fiery Dino Piranha¶
This level’s boss fight is a more challenging variation of Dino Piranha in Good Egg Galaxy. You’ll need to make your way through the galaxy to reach the Fiery Dino Piranha’s planet.
Enemies¶
- Li’l Cinders
- Fire Jets
- Lava Geysers
- Fireballs
Boss Enemy - Fiery Dino Piranha¶
When you reach the Fiery Dino Piranha’s planet, you may see some resemblances between this fight and the Dino Piranha fight in Good Egg Galaxy. You’ll need to spin attack the Dino Piranha’s tail, but every so often the tail sets alight and if you touch it whilst it’s on fire, you’ll take damage. When you spin attack it’s tail, the tail will go flying into the air and hit the Dino Piranha on the head. You need to attack his tail four times to defeat him for good. After the third hit, the Dino Piranha will begin spitting out fireballs that you’ll also need to dodge whilst you try to spin attack its tail for the final time. Upon defeating the Dino Piranha, a Power Star will spawn.
