Description

This page offers information on Luigi’s Purple Coins in Toy Time Galaxy. This level is only available when there is a Purple Comet in orbit, and this will only occur once you’ve completed the main story.

Collecting 100 Purple Coins

In this level you have three minutes to collect 100 Purple Coins. There are 150 coins on the Luigi planet, which means you don’t need to collect each Purple Coin.

This level is very similar to Mario Meets Mario where there are shrinking tiles and rotating tiles. This can be tricky and there’s no optimal route but here are some tips to help you get through this level:

  • Leave the platforms near the beginning - When you grab 100 coins, the Power Star will spawn at the beginning. To make it easy for yourself, leave the big junk of coins near the starting platform to grab last. Head back to those last few when you have around 90-95/100 coins and you can then quickly grab and then head to the start to pick up the coin. If you grab them at the beginning, you’ll have a pretty difficult time getting back as all the platforms will have gone.

Grabbing those small clusters of coins will be really useful!

  • Long jumps and spinning! - Long jumps are your best friend in this level! Spinning at the end of jumps will give you a little bit longer in the air, which can be make or break in this level. There are a fair few coin trails across large gaps in this level, and you can easily get them by long jumping. There are also three clusters of 5 coins across the map that are not above any platforms. The way to get them is to jump and then spin so you can quickly navigate back onto the platforms.

Make sure you leave yourself a way to get back to the start of the level so you can grab the star!
