Description¶
This page offers a guide on collecting all 100 Purple Coins in Purple Coins by the Seaside in Sea Slide Galaxy in the Garden dome. This level is only available when the Purple Comet is in orbit, and this can only occur when you’ve completed The Fate of the Universe.
Collecting All Purple Coins¶
In this level, you’ll need to collect 100 Purple Coins, which for the most part, you’ll need to collect as Bee Mario. Throughout the course, there are several Bee Mushrooms dotted around so you won’t need to worry too much if you lose it.
First off, you’ll need to grab the Bee Mushroom and fly up to the two clouds infront of the pier to grab the 3 coins between them. From there, fly over to the top of the palm tree, to get an extra 1 coin. From there, fly over to the moving cloud and let it take you through 2 more Purple Coins. Ahead, there’s an additional 1 coin on the stone arch above the water. Continue up onto the moving clouds above to get another 3 Purple Coins. Fly from those clouds up to the palm tree ahead to grab another 1 coin from the top of the leaves. Once again, there’s another 1 coin on a stone archway ahead. At this stage you should have a total of 12/100 coins.
Up ahead, you should be able to spot a red toad spaceship. Fly on over to it to grab another 3 Purple Coins from its roof. On the cloud nearby, you’ll be able to jump from that cloud to another cloud to grab 3 more coins. From there, fly over to the wooden platform on the turret to grab another 1 coin. At this stage you should have a total of 19/100 Purple Coins. Turn back to the water course, and you should see 3 coins underneath a stripy red and white archway. Head back over to the wooden platform on the turret and fly up to the clouds just ahead of the turret. On these moving clouds, you’ll be able to grab another 3 Purple Coins. Fly to the right towards another cloud, and as you fly you should pick up an extra 3 coins. Then, up ahead you can grab another 1 coin from atop a palm tree. From there, once again, you’ll need to fly up to some clouds nearby, where you can grab anohter 3 Purple Coins. Up to now, you should have collected 32/100 coins.
This level involves a lot of flying between clouds and palm trees.
Near these clouds, is another higher up cloud that you should be able to fly to from here. On this higher up cloud, you can grab an extra 1 coin. Below these clouds, you’ll find two coins on a wooden bridge across the water. After grabbing those two coins, head back up onto the clouds and fly over to the palm tree ahead. During the flight over, you can pick up another 4 coins.
The next step is to fly up to the clouds that are nearby the tall tower, where you can pick up 3 more coins. Next, you’ll need to make your way up and along the turret side. You can quickly grab 1 coin near one of the tower’s windows before jumping up onto one of the higher clouds near the roof. On the roof itself, you can find another 3 Purple Coins. Before moving on, jump down into the water near the base of the turret platform and you’ll find 3 coins above the water. Head back around up to the shore and grab another Bee Mushroom and fly up to the clouds to the right of the turret. From there, head down to the blue toad spaceship where you can grab another 2 coins. At this stage, you should have 51/100 coins - half way there! Fly to the cloud nearby and then from that cloud hover down to the cloud below that’s just ahead. During the flight you’ll get another 4 Purple Coins.
If you drop into the water, you’ll need to grab another Bee Mushroom!
Next, you need to make your way over to the yellow toad spaceship. From this spaceship, you can fly onto the large body of land just up ahead. Near a toad and a piranha plant, you can pick up another 4 Purple Coins. Head across this body of land over to the otherside of the water course. Fly up to the clouds to grab another 4, bringing your total thus far to 63/100. From here, head up onto the higher cloud to the left, and fly down to another cloud up ahead so you can grab 4 more coins along the way.
Up ahead you should be able to spot a green Toad spaceship. Fly over to it and pick up an extra 1 coin. Fly below to the stone platforms above the water, and you can pick up 5 more coins. Next, you’ll need to hover up onto the tree branch platform above. Here you will find an additional 1 coin. Fly over to another branch platform to the left, and then from there you’ll need to hover up onto a cloud above, grabbing an extra 4 coins along the way. From this cloud, fly onto another nearby branch platform to collect 1 more Purple Coin. Just above this branch platform, you should be able to make your way to the top of the tree, where you can grab a further 3 Purple Coins. Hop onto the higher up clouds behind you (back towards where you came from) and then fly over to the furthest cloud, where you can pick up an extra 6 coins! At this stage, you should have 88/100 coins.
There are lots of high places that you’ll need to fly up to to grab some extra coins.
Head back onto the tree and fly up to the highest point of the tree to get another 1 coin - easily missable! On the platforms just below on the otherside of the tree, you can find 2 more coins before you fly up onto the clouds ahead. Fly up onto the highest cloud nearby so that you can then fly down towards another cloud. Along the flight downwards you should pick up a further 4. You should also be able to spot up ahead 3 more coins on a cloud near the starting area. And finally, the last coin can be found on a small stone platform on the water’s surface for 100/100. Unfortunately, the Star will spawn all the way back atop the tall tower, so you’ll need to back there!
Once you’ve grabbed all 100 Purple Coins, head back to the top of the tower to get your Power Star!
