Description¶
This page offers a guide on grabbing the Shine Sprite in Episode 3 of Ricco Harbor. This area is accessed via the Rainbow M on the side of the Boathouse on the west side of Delfino Plaza once you’ve obtained at least 3 Shines and defeated the Polluted Piranha.
Climbing the yellow cage¶
You’ll need to put the skills you learnt in Episode 1 for this Shine as you look to scale the large yellow cage in the center of the Course. To begin with, make your way to the right and climb on to the blue boat where the Piantas are standing before using the hook to get over to the other side, dealing with a pesky Blooper in the process. Wait for the crange to bring the platform around to you and then leap on to it, getting off at the red fence on the other side.

As you climb this fence, beware of the Klambers who attempt to knock you off and at the top, use the gate to flip yourself around and then leap to the hook. Wait for the hook to take you over to the other side and leap over to the next fence, scaling it to the right where you can flip yourself through a gate again. Wait for the next hook and use it to reach the red platform on the other side where two more Bloopers are waiting.
Upon dealing with them, leap on to the rising red platform and then jump off to the right where you’ll find a Hover box to restore your FLUDD should you need it along with more Bloopers blocking the path. Deal with them as you make your way around this blue platform to reach a crate you can leap on and jump to the hook, taking you over to the next red fence above. Climb this fence and flip yourself through the gate before jumping over to the next fence and over to the blue platform once more.

Carefully jump over the gaps and then deal with the Bloopers as you make your way across to a box containing the Rocket Nozzle, this will allow you to launch yourself in the air and at the same time, activate all other boxes of it’s kind. Ignore this for now however and instead look to the nearby trampolines. Jump on it and then launch yourself on to the next blue platform, following this across a series of more trampolines where you can finally launch yourself over and into the yellow cage to claim the Shine.
