Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion has a wealth of customization opportunities and with it, ways to really make Zack powerful. At a certain point, you may think that 999 MP isn’t enough and want to learn how to Break the MP Limit.
Where to Get the Gold Hairpin Accessory¶
First things first, if you’re not sure what MP is used for, check out our Stat Explanation page. The short of it is MP is used for performing magical attacks that come under the Magic Materia. The initial limit is 999, but with the Gold Hairpin, the limit can be raised to 9,999. There are a few methods to obtaining this accessory.
First is to complete mission 7-3-4: P’s Precognition Lv. 4 which can be started as early as Chapter 4 after you unlock mission 7-2-1: Search and Destroy and the subsequent missions that follow. The second method is to complete mission 2-5-6: The Great Beast at the start of Chapter 10 after you unlock mission 2-2-5: Gongaga.
The next way to obtain it is from Treasure Chests in missions 9-2-5 and 9-6-4. Both of the missions are unlocked in Chapter 3. Finally, you can steal the accessory from Belial. Equip the Brigand’s Gloves to guarantee a steal and head over to mission 9-5-6 for the Belial. This is available during Chapter 2, but you will have to complete a long series of difficult missions to unlock it.
Where to Get the Divine Slayer and Heike Soul¶
Realistically, you’re going to be using the Gold Hairpin. Both of these incredible Accessories break the MP Limit among many other powerful buffs, but by the time you get them, their purpose is almost useless unless you want to trounce everything on a New Game+.
The Divine Slayer, then, comes from defeating Minerva in mission 9-6-6. Minerva is the game’s superboss and possibly one of the last things you’ll do in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion. You’ll also need to have near max stats to take her on in the first place. Still, the Divine Slayer offers HP, MP, and AP +100%, ATK, VIT, MAG, SPR and LCK +50. It also breaks all attack, HP, MP, and MP limits while granting the Libra effect. Needless to say, it’s very powerful indeed.
Heike Soul, however, one-ups that even further with even more boons piled on top. Once again though, it’s useless by the time you obtain it as you’ll need to complete 100% of the Missions in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII: Reunion. Yes, that includes defeating Minerva herself in mission 9-6-6.
There is no comparison as an Accessory though, as the Heike Soul grants the effects of the following items/Materia: “Adaman Bangle”, “Brutal” , “Black Cowl”, “Gold Hairpin”, “Wizard Bracelet”, “Doc’s Code”, “Brigand’s Gloves”, “Mog’s Amulet”, “Jeweled Ring”, “Precious Watch”, “Libra”, “Smart Consumer”, “SP Master”, “Dualcast”, and the “Cursed Ring”. Overkill, we know!
Where to Get Soul of Thamasa, Magic Master and Genji Helm¶
These two accessories won’t break the MP limit, but they will make every MP skill cost zero MP. The Genji Helm is the better out of the two as it will also make special skills cost zero AP too, but that is a little harder to get.
For the Soul of Thamasa, you can also find it in Treasure chests in missions 9-4-4 and 9-6-5 or you can steal it from the Shadow Monk in missions 9-6-2 and 9-6-3, but it is rare. To guarantee a rare steal, make sure you come equipped with the Mog’s Amulet and Brigand’s Gloves accessories. Then you have the Magic Master accessory, which will not only make magic cost zero MP, but it’ll raise your magic and magic resistance stat at the cost of HP, AP, ATK, and VIT. You can get this from a Treasure chest in mission: 9-4-5 or you can steal it from the Mock Trooper C in mission: 9-6-5. It is a rare steal so you’ll need the Mog’s Amulet equipped.
The Genji Helm requires a bit more work mainly due to its exorbitant cost of 1,000,000 Gil from Online Shop Shade. First you’ll need to unlock the shop, to do this you’ll need to complete mission 9-5-4 which can be unlocked during Chapter 3. If you want to know the best way of farming Gil for this, follow our page here. You can also find our in-depth guide for the Genji equipment here.
