Countermagic If the enemy initiates battle and inflicts magical damage, the enemy will receive the same amount of damage.

Given that most healers are skewed towards magic, Great Master and its female counterpart, Priestess, seem a little out of place. So unless your unit has that perfect balance, this might not be a good class to stay in. But it certainly is a fantastic class to stop by, possessing two great skills. Renewal can stack with several other forms of passive healing like Camraderie and Amaterasu, resulting in a unit being very much self-sufficient on the field.

Countermagic will work even if the enemy is at a distance from you (unlike Counter which won’t stop things like arrows or hand axes and whatnot) and, like Counter, is pretty obviously useful. Units that are constantly being pecked on from range by mages who can’t attack back will find great use from Countermagic to punish them.
