Assassin's Creed: Origins

Points of Interest - Alexandria

By
Nathan Garvin

Suggested Level: 12

There’s actually a fair number of points of interest not covered by sidequests in Alexandria, including the following:

Points of Interest
Aya’s Home
Emporium Berthed Trireme
Great Synogogue
Iseion
Mareia Military Storage
Mareia Trireme
Narrow Crevice
Pharos Garrison
Pharos Military Storage
South Wall Guard Post

The Armory will be part of a later quest, as will the Pharos Garrison and Tomb of Alexander the Great. You can safely ignore the Armory and the Tomb of Alexander the Great, but the Pharos Garrison (and the fast travel point atop Pharos), despite being visited later, aren’t points of interest you’ll either want to, or be capable of completing at the time, so you might as well deal with them now. You can also find the East Mediterranean Trireme sailing about, although it’ll probably spend most of its time in the Great Green Sea area. Still, the levels of the foes on this ship are more in-line with those of Alexandria, so there’s no harm in clearing it now.

The Great Library, Kibotos Arsenal, Sarapeion, Royal Palace and Akra Garrison were already covered as part of previous quests.

Iseion

Head to the large, northern island of Alexandria (just west of Pharos) and search the Iseion - a typically Greek temple. In the back (northeastern end of) the temple you’ll find the Papyrus Puzzle Scroll “Deafening Silence” on a table.

Reward: For completing the Iseion
150 XP

Deafening Silence

Now that you have the “Deafening Silence” Papyrus Puzzle scroll, you might as well solve it, as the solution is nearby. Give it a read:

“Alexandria is large and noisy, but one part is quiet, lonely and surrounded by water. The fallen palm tree points to where I lay, where land meets water.”

From the Iseion head southeast to reach a stone dock. From this dock turn east, southeast to spot an island in the center of Alexandria’s northern harbor. Swim over to it and search the western end of the island to find a fallen palm tree - just as the scroll suggested. Head downhill in the direction the top of the tree is pointing towards and search the beach near the water to find your treasure.

Great Synagogue

From the Alexandria fast travel point, make your way east along the main road until you find the Great Synagogue to the north. Circle around the building to find the courtyard on the northern side of the building, where you can find the Papyrus Puzzle Scroll “Nature’s Way” on a table. This puzzle can wait until the points of interest in the Kanopos Nome are solved.

The year is 48 BCE, and both Rome and Ptolemaic Egypt are torn by civil wars. In the chaos caused by this political upheaval, a shadowy conspiracy seeks the mysteries buried under the sands of Egypt, not sparing any who stand in the way of their ambitions. One such aggrieved individual, Bayek, a Medjay from Siwa, now seeks revenge against this secret organization. Ultimately going back to the origins of the Assassin’s Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Origins is a rebirth of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, adding a vast open world, a revamped combat system and RPG elements to the prolific stealth-action series.
