Suggested Level: 12

For this quest, just head over to the hippodrome east of Alexandria. Note that the fast travel point here, while functional, will put you in the hippodrome race menu first. That’ll be covered later, but for now, look for a crowd of people in front of (along the western end of) the hippodrome, where a man is boasting of the accomplishments of a champion named Icarus. Interact with the crowd there and Bayek will recognize an old friend of his, formerly named Sennefer, now named Claridas, who will intervene in a bit of Blues versus Greens violence. Afterwards, he’ll depart, but not before asking you to meet him at the tavern in Kanopos.

Make your way east to Kanopos and find the tavern in question just southeast of the fast travel point. Inside the tavern you’ll see Claridas hanging out with a group of his fellow blues. Approach and Bayek will join them and talk about old times, although he’s clearly not enjoying how Claridas remembers Siwa. Later, on a balcony, the green who was being assaulted by the blues - Nikias - will attempt to hire Bayek to participate in a chariot race, an attempt which is thwarted by Claridas.

Follow Claridas outside and the two drunkards will indulge in some overly honest chatter. The wonders of inebriation, eh? These exchanges end how they usually do, with the two sides revealing more than they should and fighting it out. Bayek can’t move fast in his current state, but at least your dodging is unaffected, so do your best against Claridas, after which they wake up in some hay, all things apparently forgiven… at least for a moment. Claridas failed in Siwa, but he’s a big name here in Alexandria, whereas Bayek followed an opposite trajectory. After some bitter shit-talking between the two, Claridas will dare Bayek to attempt to match him in the hippodrome, something Bayek pettily considers.

This ends the quest “ Old Times “ and begins a new quest “ Wild Ride “ (Suggested Level: 12).
