Suggested Level: 15
You’ll find this quest in the northwestern part of mainland Alexandria, just south and east of the bridge that leads to the island north of the city, or northwest of the Great Library, if you prefer. Here you’ll find a man named Phidias, trying to solicit aid of a… questionable nature. Talk to him and he’ll ask you to do a little work for him, paying a starting fee of 75 Drachma to pique your interest. Follow him and he’ll explain the details vaguely, ultimately leading you to your charge - his daughter, Kara.
Your job is to merely escort her to the Egyptian District, the slums west of the Sarapeion, an area you may be well familiar with by now. Seems easy enough, right? Just board the vessel nearby and sail west until you find a river to the south, at which sail down the river. Unfortunately, during your trip she’ll decide that she has other plans than a dull day at home.
Sail to the quest objective, get off the boat at the docks, then follow her to the south to find her horse. After some chatter, mount the horse and ride to the markets Kara desires to visit, which can be found near the eastern edge of the city. As you ride, Kara will babble incessently, and when you arrive you’ll be forced to follow her around until she finds the linens she wants. The drudgery doesn’t end there, however, as she’ll then request you to pick up the linens she has her eye on, during which a thief will steal her horse, Pegasus.
Naturally recovering the beast is up to you, as well, so leave the market and call your own mount, follow the horse thief and shoot or strike them off Pegasus. Mount Pegasus and ride back to the market to find that Phidias has found his daughter, and to her credit Kara covers for your absences. Bayek’s performance was so agreeable to both of them that he’s even offered a permanent job! Alas, his indulgence in this profession is strictly short term, but the payout is still decent enough.
