The Lost and Found sidequests are special ones, in that they usually require you to hunt down some objectives that aren’t marked on the map. This page will give a walkthrough for the Jo’s Rainy Day Stash Lost and Found sidequest.

Where to Start Jo’s Rainy Day Stash in Dead Island 2¶

You won’t be able to begin this sidequest until you’ve reached the Venice Beach area, which will happen during the course of the main story mission, The Red Mist. It’s best to continue the story until you complete The Red Mist, as this gives you a safe haven on this map. Slightly northwest of the Blue Crab, there will be a store that has a shark figure in front of it. The place is called “Jo’s Rentals,” as that’s the name on the front of the building. The place will be locked up, but you can bust through the windows to get inside. Just note that there’s an alarm attached to the store, so that’s likely going to attract some zombies, so clear them out before you go searching inside, as the building is quite small.

Once the coast is finally clear, head inside and look on the counter on the one side to find a journal, titled Jo’s Secret Stash. Collecting this will officially start the sidequest, but don’t leave right after getting it, since there is Jo’s Staff Room Key on the opposite side, so pick it up, too.

Where to Find Jo’s Rainy Day Stash in Dead Island 2¶

You’re told to follow the paper trail to find Jo’s “kick-ass” stash. Exit the initial store, then start moving southeast, past the large truck with a gas container on the back of it. If you look at your map, you should see another building in that direction, marked with a shark icon; this is where you are going. The building will be on the next corner, past the gas truck, and has the same shark statue out front. Inside this building, on the counter, will be another journal, titled Jo’s Beloved Baby.

For the next part, you will need to head behind this second building, where you will find a parking lot. There is a nearby bike rentals shop that allows you to get behind the buildings, where you can then climb over the fence to reach the designated parking lot. Here, you should see a bunch of zombies, but one of them will be Jo’s Shambling Body, which is the zombie you want. Defeat that zombie (and the others, one of which might be a Crusher) and loot the journal he drops, titled Jo’s Final Farewell. This journal will point you towards the location of the stash.

It will be located on the roof of a nearby building, so you will need to find a way to reach it. If you look at your map, you should notice that the stash is already put on your map; it’ll be just northeast of the second shark symbol you visited. Look for the dumpster right next to a low fence, which you can use to get on the rooftops. From there, you can head southwest, onto the roof of the Marla’s Tapas & Tacos building. Eventually, you will arrive on part of the roof that has a fenced in area.

Be very careful here, as there’s a tripwire in front of the door up here, which will cause an explosion. Once you’re clear of that, you should see two named zombies in the fenced in area, named Nick and Scotty. They’re nothing but Walkers, so they will easily go down and when they have been dealt with, enter the caged area to find the secret stash. Open up the crate to get your loot (a Primed Crowbar) and finish the sidequest.
