This page is a walkthrough for The Doomsday Heist Setup Mission, Air Defenses. It’ll navigate you through the necessary steps to successfully destroying all SAM Turrets.
Overview of the Air Turrets mission.
Use a Volatol jet to destroy multiple SAM Turrets around Mount Chiliad.
Go to the Sandy Shores Airfield / Destroy SAM Turrets¶
Once you’ve started up the mission, take any car and follow the waypoint to Sandy Shores Airfield. Take control of the Volatol jet whilst your teammate controls the turrets which are placed on the nose and the top of the jet.
Travel to Mount Chiliad and open the Bomb Bay doors by pressing [Right D-Pad], then destroy the 12 SAM Turrets which are scattered around the mountain. To do this, approach the SAM Turret and release the bombs a few seconds before you go over it to successfully destroy it.

Your teammate can also help out with destroying the SAM Turrets with the Turrets on the Jet. However, make sure to destroy any enemies approaching to avoid taking too much damage on the Jet and failing the mission. Finally, return the Jet to the airfield to bring this mission to a close.
