The DG-58 is a type of burst fire rifle in MW3, offering players some solid bullet punch as long as it gets favorable advantages, aim placement, and damage multipliers. With that said, the DG-58 is a hard weapon to get accustomed to, but if you manage to get familiar with this weapon, you will ruin lobbies with satisfying voice comms from recently slain enemies saying: ‘What was that?’. If that tickles your fancy, here’s a look at the best DG-58 Class Loadout in MW3.
Best DG B8 Class in MW3¶
To make the best DG-58 Class in MW3, players are going to need to do the following:
- Secondary: Pistol of choice
- Tactical: Stun Grenades or Stims
- Lethal: Optional
- Field Equipment: Munitions Box
- Gloves: Scavenger Gloves
- Boots: Running Sneakers
- Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
- Vest: Infantry
The Best choice here is the Infantry, so you can grab the benefits of the Running Sneakers, which gives you the benefit of Lightfeet boots. Now you have the double advantage of mobility and improved Tac Sprint. This is important as getting into better positions and angles with the DG-58 is an important part of the gun, with its high burst damage close-range, and it is up to 35-ish meters of ranged accuracy. Getting to those positions faster means better opportunities for some fast kills.
From there, you likely want Scavenger Gloves for ammo resupply, and take Munitions Box, too, if you are holding more important lanes and anchor points. The other need is the Ghost Camo in your Gear slot, as UAVS are very prevalent in-game, and grabbing one will help reduce your map visibility for most of the game.
Meanwhile, your sidearm, tactical, or lethal options are more preferential. The Renetti is good for another burst-type weapon as a sidearm, but the CoR is also fine. You can also take Stims or Stuns for your tactical for better enemy control or to stem the bleeding and improve your ability to re-peek enemies and keep your killstreaks going. The lethal of choice can be whatever you prefer, whether you want to use Frags for certain map bounces, Semtex for site pushes, or Drill Charges to flush awkward camper spots out of objectives or random camping spots.
Best DG-58 Loadout in MW3¶
To make the best DG-58 in MW3, your attachments and build will need to use the following:
- Optic: Slimline Pro
- Barrel: COG T-25 Light Barrel
- Muzzle: RF CRown 50
- Underbarrel: Xten Phantom-5 Handstop
- Rear Grip: Varanus Steady Grip
We recommend using the TP-9 Buttplate Stock until you unlock the Varanus Rear Grip, since it offers similar recoil and gun kick control, albeit slightly worse penalties.
The main idea of this build is that you increase your bullet velocity to ensure your burst lands incredibly fast. This increases TTK significantly, making it easier to contend with other fast TTK weapons at close and mid-range. Doing so allows you to get more competitive with your usual SMGS and ARs. The other thing you need is solid gun kick, since that controls how hard your gun’s recoil sends your aim flying, while recoil controls how frequently gun kick happens. The Varanus and the RF Crown will make your gun very accurate, with only the third bullet slightly swaying in close and medium ranges.
You also get some ADS improvements with the Underbarrel, which is important. The DG-58 class, and build is specced for mobility, meaning ADS is important to contend with close-range and better reaction wins type fights. Consequently, the XTEN Phantom 5 offers extra recoil control and ADS speed. If you don’t like the horizontal recoil, then the DR-6 Handstop is another solid option for the Underbarrel choice.
When it comes to long-range, aiming for the upper chest can cause you to drift your recoil into head range. At around 50 meters, you can get a one-burst kill using that tactic, but long-range is not your forte. Instead, long-range kills will typically be more effective in the 35-40 meter range. However, the FR 5.56 is a much better weapon for that type of gameplay, as is the Holger 556 for that matter.
This concludes the Best DG-58 Loadout in MW3. You now know how to spec this gun for a versatile engagement and get a surprising amount of damage on a foe for what is perceived to be one of the weaker AR’s in the current MW3 Meta guns candidates.
