Sentry Guns are the rage in MW3 Zombies at the moment. These are certainly useful, from the infinite sentry gun glitch to general assistance for challenges and fighting some heavy special or elite enemies. Yet, getting your hands on one is often limited to the Medium-Threat Buy Station, yet it is not the only method. Here’s a closer look at some tips for getting a Sentry Gun in MW3 Zombies.

Where to Find Sentry Guns in MW3 Zombies¶

Sentry Guns in MW3 Zombies are often located in the following areas:

1. Buy Stations
2. Looted as random killstreak rewards from Caches

For the most part, Buy Stations are your more reliable methods of grabbing Sentry Guns in the game. The reason is that you can get a guaranteed purchase from Medium Threat Buy Stations for 2000 Aether. So, if you ever need one of these, then the Medium-Threat Buy Stations (MT-BS) are the play. Contracts often award 2k Aether, so, do one mission and pay a visit to a MT-BS and you’ll have one within minutes.

However, it is not the only way to get a Sentry Gun in MW3 Zombies. The other method, albeit entirely random, is through Mercenary Caches. No matter if you find one while exploring or found via the Aether Nest, Merc Camps, Infected Strongholds, or Strongholds themselves. These three POIs on the map often require a firefight to enter, and completing the challenge will award you with a good few boxes to loot. These boxes tend to contain items, ranging from Ammo Mods, Perks, Weapons, and even killstreaks. Since it is a Blue Quality item, it means it can appear in Low Threat Areas, with the above screenshot offering proof of that. Sometimes, you can get lucky and get a Sentry Gun, but the loot tables are all over the place, which makes it an unreliable farming method, unless for specific target farming.

So, the best bet is to go to a Medium Threat Buy Station and purchase one if you need a Sentry Gun. You can get lucky and get them on your travels, which will aid you in whatever activity or farming strategy you intend to employ with your Sentry Gun. Good Luck, zombie hunters!
