There is a new Call of Duty each year but within the year you’ll get multiple seasons which adds additional levels, new weapons and maps for multiplayer, and more. Read below to learn what’s coming in season one of Modern Warfare 3.
Season 1 will include new maps, weapons and zombie content!
When is Season 1 of MW3¶
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been out for a couple of weeks now and most players have reached max level and are eagerly waiting for Season 1 to arrive so they can try out new weapons and experience new maps. There isn’t an official release date yet, but going by previous CoDs then you can most likely expect the season to drop December 6th. There has recently been a stream detailing some of the upcoming content and we’ve listed the more important things below:
New MW3 Multiplayer Maps in Season 1¶
Three new Multiplayer Maps are dropping into MW3 and they are the following, Meat which is a map players will find themselves fighting in and around a slaughterhouse. Greece will allow players to battle it out next to an amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea and Rio which is another smaller map that is focused around a shopping center. Additionally, Gunfight will be returning in season 1 and it is a mode where players can play 2v2 on a smaller scale map.
New MW3 Multiplayer Weapons in Season 1¶
Five new weapons will also be dropping in Season and they are the following, RAM-7 (Assault Rifle), ARX-160 (Assault Rifle), TAW Evolvere (LMG), XRK Stalker (Sniper Rifle), and the HRM-9 (SMG) which will be arriving in the middle of the season.
New MW3 Zombie Content in Season 1¶
Season 1 isn’t just a great start for the Multiplayer crowd as zombies are getting some love as well with the following content. Aether Rifts will appear around the map and interacting with them will take you to a different area where you’ll have to complete some challenging content. Additionally, the V-R11 which is a new Wonder Weapon will be available for players to use against the hoard.
