With the new changes to Modern Warfare 3, there are many new systems in place to give players new ways to earn and unlock rewards. One of the new features is the Armory Unlocks feature, which unlocks at level 25. When you get to this point, you’ll have options ranging from weapons, perks, equipment, and just about any other aspect of loadout and class alterations. Yet, there are catches. Here is how to unlock Weapons in MW3.
How to Unlock Weapons in MW3¶
To Unlock Weapons and Guns in MW3, you will need to do one of three things:
- Unlock weapons via leveling
- Weapon Platforms
- Armory Unlocks
For the most part, leveling up is the key and traditional way of unlocking weapons in Call of Duty. Meanwhile, the Weapon platform is one of the systems carrying over from MW2 to unlock very specific weapons.
However, the third way to unlock weapons in MW3 is brand new. When you reach level 25, you will be able to activate a challenge to unlock. Each challenge will require you to reach a specified number of daily challenge completions to get the reward. And there are many of them. We’ll table some of the weapon unlocks in the armory system and what you need to do so you can get an idea of how the system works.
Weapon Unlock | Requirements |
---|---|
DG-58 | Three Daily Challenges |
Sidewinder | Eight Daily Challenges |
DM56 | Three Daily Challenges |
KV Inhibitor | Three Daily Challenges |
Rival-9 | Three Daily Challenges |
WSP-9 | Three Daily Challenges |
Karambit | Five Daily Challenges |
Holger 26 | Five Daily Challenges |
WSP Stinger | Three Daily Challenges |
MTZ-762 | Three Daily Challenges |
Note that you need to select which weapon you want to unlock via the Armory Unlocks. You then need to do daily challenges. Some daily challenges may delay your progress through the unlock system, while others may be fast. Remember, you only get so many daily challenges per day, so, pick and choose which weapon you want to progress through first. The other thing to note is that you can change your active challenge anytime, and all progress is saved for the challenges you change. But again, make sure to change before you start your day to prevent any delayed progress on a weapon you really want to use.
Bear in mind these daily challenges to unlock weapons are also used to unlock perks, aftermarket parts, field upgrades and kill streaks. So, make sure to pick and choose what you really want as part of your loadout.
