Like with MW2’s DMZ mode, there are many events you can find, tasks to complete, and other features to get juicy rewards. In MW3’s Zombies mode, players can get tasks to take on Mercenary Convoys, which are patrolling units for Mercenaries. Here’s everything you need to know about Mercenary Convoys in MW3 Zombies.
How to Complete Mercenary Convoys in MW3 Zombies Mode¶
To complete the MW3 Zombies Mercenary Convoy tasks, players must find a location for a Merc Convoy. The best way to do this is to look for a Mercenary Stronghold and look for moving vehicles not occupied by players. This indicates some troops are on the move in the area. They’ll typically be called Armored Trucks, and they often move anti-clockwise around the map. But you can also find them near other AI strongholds and other such areas. More tend to spawn through the game through events that take place and other events and occurrences as the game goes on.
When you find a convoy, simply take them out. Be warned the area is typically guarded by armored enemies with guns. These are typically called Grunts, with firearms roughly a plate’s worth of armor. There are a good few of them, so make sure you have a decent gun to take them on or have the squad ready to roll up on them and handle the enemies the best you can. Make sure to have a decent ammo count too, as Mercenaries, especially higher-tier enemies, are bullet sponges. That is another issue that can catch you off guard.
Once all enemies are dead, you should complete your task, along with being able to loot precious Plates for your vest, alongside other weapons and lootable rewards. Doing so will allow you to complete the Interceptor challenge and get the task rewards for your character. Expect Blueprints XP and other nice to haves for completing the challenges.
In addition, killing a convoy can award you with a Keycard, and grant you access to more powerful Strongholds in the Zombies mode. These are great locations for weapon pickups, money, and XP for better zombie runs.
