Borealis is one of the new ultra-grind rewards for Modern Warfare 3 players. For those who embark on the journey, you may get a haunted and spooky-looking cosmic phenomenon camo, with it available for those who reach the pinnacle of the MW3 weapons and Zombies grind. Here’s a closer look at how to unlock Borealis Camo in MW3.

How To Get Borealis Camo in MW3¶

To get the Borealis Camo in MW3, players will need to complete all other camo challenges for 36 MW3 weapons in the Zombies game mode. To do this, you need to do the following:

1. Unlock and complete Base Camos on 36 Weapons
2. Unlock and complete Golden Enigma Camos
3. Unlock and complete Zircon Scale Camos in each weapon category.
4. Unlock and complete 36 Serpentine Camo Challenges for all guns with Zircon Scale.

As you can see, there are a lot of guns you will need to revisit and progress through the camos to reach this point. Typically, the Golden Enigma Camo will require zombie kills ad extracting successfully with weapons. Do this till you complete a weapon category and then proceed to Zircon Scale Camo. In regard to that challenge, you need to kill a required number of zombies with the weapon’s pack-a-punch upgrade. So get cashing in the money on Pack-A-Punch locations and look for as many kills as possible to get out with it.

When you complete 36 Zircons, you then move on to the 36 Serpentine Camo Challenges. Here, you need to defeat Elites and Specials to get the skin for each gun. Normally, you’re better off looking for these enemies during the higher-risk events and locations and objectives around the map. So, get hunting those biggies, but don’t over-commit to to it and start dying, as you can lose your insurance on that weapon for a few hours. So, play smart, and be coordinated to ensure success. The same rules apply to all challenges by the way. Extracting and playing smart will award you with an easier camo grind.

When you finally reach the 36 Serpentine camos, you will then unlock the Borealis camo for MW3. Congratulations on your super grind to get the skins. With that done, it is time to grind the Interstellar for MW2 Zombie guns, or the Bioluminescent Camo for MW3 multiplayer camo challenges.
