By
Craig Robinson

The tip of the iceberg for MW2 weapon completionists is the new Bioluminescent camo. This new skin is a reward for grinding over 50 MW2 weapons in the new Modern Warfare 3 Zombie mode. If you fancy the challenge of showing off the true peak of MW2 weapon mastery, here is how to unlock the Bioluminescent Camo in MW3.

Unlocking Bioluminescent Camo in MW3

For the grinders, you need to do the following to get the Bioluminescent Camo in MW3:

  1. Unlock Base Camos on 51 MW2 guns by doing their MW3 Zombie challenges.
  2. Proceed to complete 51 Golden Ivory Camo Challenges for those guns.
  3. Unlock Golden Ivory Camos in a single weapon category to unlock the Spinel Husk challenges.
  4. Unlock Spinel Husk Camos 51 times by getting the required kills with the relevant Pack-A-Punch weapon.
  5. Then Kill the set amount of Special or Elite zombies with the weapons with Spinel Husk unlocked to earn the Arachnida Camo.
  6. Unlock Arachnida Camo Challenges and complete all 51 to unlock Bioluminescent Camo.

As you can see, the journey to unlock the Bioluminescent Camo in MW3 is a long Zombies grind. The journey requires completing the base camo challenges for weapons you want to grind. Make sure to target the 51 you want, as there are over 70 MW2 weapons, so you have the luxury of going for whatever weapons you want. Make sure there are enough weapons in a category to hit the minimum requirements to start proceeding through the Spinel Husk, as you need to meet the minimum count of Golden Ivory in a weapon cat to start the Spinel Husk and later camo challenges.

With that decided, proceed through the camos challenges as normal. The main tasks for the Camos are to get a required number of kills on a weapon and extract, then another required amount of kills with the Pack-A-Punch version of the weapon. From there, kill Elites and Specials to ensure you can progress through the Arachnida camos.

Ideally, play with a coordinated team, as a more practiced team will be able to assist the player with farming points to get the Pack-A-Punch at a consistent level. It also helps you easily chew through the Special and Elite numbers for the Arachnida challenge, as they can mark them out for you, and you get the killing blow, especially in the later rounds when things get harder. Most importantly, being able to extract is part of the challenge for some camos. So, having a group that knows when to back out properly and help you flee will be another important factor that allows you to progress through the MW2 Zombies challenges.

With all of this done, you should be free from the grind and get Bioluminescent Camo for all guns with an Arachnida challenge complete. Good luck showing off your new fancy glow skin in your multiplayer, zombie, and Warzone lobbies. However, the story is not done, with Multiplayer MW3 camos and MW3 Zombie Camos to go at once more.
