The grind through MW3’s 12 new Mastery camos continues, and with it, the second multiplayer camo skin for MW3 appears. For those looking to make their way through the second tier of multiplayer skins, you will be on track to earning the Forged Camo skin, a new take on the Platinum-like camo tier. If you’re wondering how to unlock Forged Camo in MW3, here’s a guide to help you out.

How to get Forged Camo in MW3¶
To unlock Forged Camo in MW3, you will need to do the following:
- Complete all Base Camo Challenges for a weapon
- Unlock a set amount of Gilded Camo Challenges for that weapon category (such as Assault Rifles).
- Complete the Forged Camo Challenge for that weapon.
The notable thing about Forged Camo is that you need to work through a weapon category first. Complete many base camo challenges for each weapon in a category, such as Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles, etc, and then unlock Gilded Camos for them. Typically, you need to get Gilded on all the weapons in that category, but as more guns get added to that category through the seasons, the number stays the same. For example, there are six assault rifles at launch for MW3, so you will need to get six Gilded Camos for Assault Rifles.

So, make sure to complete all case Camo challenges for the category of gun you’re grinding, and then get Gilded for them. Once you have the requirements met, you will then unlock the Forged challenge for all guns with Gilded unlocked in that category.
Once you have the Forged Camo challenge unlocked in MW3, you will then need to beat it. For example, anyone running the MCW will need to get 3 Kills without dying 10 times to unlock the Forged Camo in MW3. You can find a list of all Forged challenges here.

Once you have Forged camos unlocked, you can then apply it to the gun you beat the challenge on. You will need to do this to every single weapon as it is a completionist camo. Feel free to look at all the camo challenges for each weapon under the Customization and Camo menu and hover over each base camo and completionist camo to work out the requirements for each one. Once you get through most of the Forged challenges, you’ll start unlocking the Priceless camo challenges.
Please be aware that the Forged Camo challenges are only available on Modern Warfare 3 weapons. Modern Warfare 2 weapons have their own completionist challenges, with Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic and Orion being theirs.
