This page will detail how to defeat all of the Rank 1 opponents of Fort Condor. Fort Condor is a new mini-game found in the INTERmission DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
How to beat Kyrie¶
Suggested Board | Kyrie’s Board |
---|---|
Sorcerer Board I | Battalion Board I |
Suggested Vanguard Units | Suggested Ranged Units | Suggested Defense Units |
---|---|---|
Guard Dog | Slug-Ray | Riot Trooper |
– | – | S. Gun Prototype |
– | – | Blast-Ray |
– | – | Riot Barracks |
You can find Kyrie near Stargazer Heights, in the northwest of the Sector 7 Slums. If you’ve grasped the basics of Fort Condor by now, you shouldn’t have too many issues with defeating the Rank 1 opponents and Kyrie is no different there. You’ll notice from Kyrie’s layout that she uses a lot of Vanguard Units, this means you’ll want to counter that with a lot of Defense Units yourself while remembering to bring along one Ranged and one Defense in the chance that she may use Monodrive or E. Riot Trooper.
If you have the Riot Barracks Unit, gained from a chest near Wedge in the Sector 7 Slums, be sure to bring it along and look to deploy it after you’ve placed your first Unit. Kyrie’s largest threat comes from her Materia, the HP Up Materia can really make some of her Units tanky when used in certain circumstances. Your reward for beating Kyrie is an Elite Security Officer (Vanguard) and 2x Condor Coins.
How to beat Johnny¶
Suggested Board | Johnny’s Board |
---|---|
Sorcerer Board I | Sorcerer Board II |
Suggested Vanguard Units | Suggested Ranged Units | Suggested Defense Units |
---|---|---|
Shock Trooper | Slug-Ray | – |
Guard Dog | Grenadier | – |
Helitrooper | – | – |
Officer Barracks | – | – |
The infamous Johnny is your next opponent at Fort Condor and you’ll find him lurking in a street leading east, just to the northeast of the Avalanche hideout in the Sector 7 Slums. Looking at Johnny’s Layout, you’ll notice that he’s gone for a mix of Defense and Ranged Units, two of which are deadly Elite Units that you’ll want to watch out for. He’s also using a better version of the Sorcerer Board that you should be using still, this gives him three Materias to play with, all of which are attack ones.
You can forego Defense Units altogether here seeing as there’s no Vanguard Units to worry about. If you’ve been lucky enough to spot the Officer Barracks (Vanguard) in the Junk Shop (which changes its wares based on story progression), then you can use this to great effect here. Similar to the Kyrie match, deploy your Officer Barracks in a safe place after placing your first Unit and it should be enough to keep Johnny busy with constant fresh Units. Johnny can and will use his Materia often, this means you’ll need to make sure you’ve got multiple Units out at a time to limit the damage from it. Your reward for victory here is the Elite Riot Trooper (Defense) Unit and 2x Condor Coins.
How to beat Shinra Middle Manager¶
Suggested Board | Shinra Middle Manager’s Board |
---|---|
Sorcerer Board I | Assassin Board I |
Suggested Vanguard Units | Suggested Ranged Units | Suggested Defense Units |
---|---|---|
Shock Trooper | Slug-Ray | Blast-Ray |
Guard Dog | – | – |
Helitrooper | – | – |
Officer Barracks | – | – |
Your final opponent, the quirky Shinra Middle Manager, can be found by heading to the northeast of the Sector 7 Slums. Looking at his Units, you’ll notice that the majority of his Units are Ranged based, with one Vanguard and Defense mixed in. His greatest strength however is the Assassin Board, this is a fast-paced Board that will allow him to use new Units often and the Haste Materia will not only increase their movement speed, but also their attack speed.
With that in mind, it’s imperative your Loadout involves ways of getting multiple Units out as quickly as possible. If you have the Officer Barracks, this will serve you well once again but if not, make sure you have Units at 2 and 3 ATB cost so you can deploy them frequently. As always, look to get a Barracks Unit down in a safe place as soon as possible, this will keep your Unit numbers up and then work on trying to counter his pace. Make sure to save your Aero Materia for when he starts using the Slug-Rays, this will destroy them in one fell swoop. Your reward for Victory against the Shinra Middle Manager is am Elite Grenadier (Ranged) Unit and 2x Condor Coins.
Rewards for completing Rank 1¶
Once you’ve beaten all three opponents at Rank 1, you’ll obtain the Assassin Board I that the Shinra Middle Manager was using, along with updating the wares available at Old Snapper’s Condor Coin Shop. Be sure to pick up all of the available Units there before progressing to the next Rank.
