This is very similar to Cloud and Barret’s Focused abilities in the way that it will drive up the Stagger gauge when an enemy is Pressured. This one differs slightly in the fact that there’s a small wind-up as Tifa jumps back before diving forward, making Cloud’s the best version of this ability.
Sonic Strikers are a fine enough weapon for when you first get them in Chapter 7 as they offer more materia slots than your other weapons while also offering decent increases in both Speed and MP. Once you get the other weapons however, it loses its luster and although the Healing Spells MP Cost Reduction is a nice ability, it’s better suited to Cloud.
When spending your SP on the Sonic Strikers, look to unlock any Materia slots followed by Speed and MP. Once you reach Weapon Level 6, be sure to unlock the Healing Spells MP Cost Reduction should you decide to stick with the weapon.
