Blade Burst

This ability’s damage scales off Magic Attack and the beams fork out to hit a small area of effect. If you invest in Magic Attack on Cloud, this is a rather devastating ability and is ideal for large enemies with multiple parts that you can target.

Evaluation

Whereas the Hardedge was all about pure Attack Power, the Mythril Saber is the opposite, focusing on pure Magic Attack Power. Once you reach Hard Mode, you’ll be able to wipe out enemies easily by using Magnify paired with the elemental magic Materias. What’s more, there’s useful abilities such as Attack Spells MP Cost Reduction and MP Regeneration Boost that means you’ll have plenty of MP available to use.

When spending your SP on the Mythril Saber purchase every Magic Attack Power node you see along with purchasing MP Regeneration Boost 50%, Trade-Off and Attack Spells MP Cost Reduction 20% as soon as you’re able to. You can forego Attack Power skills until you have all of the above.
