The Cactuar can be found in Sanubia Desert and can be an annoying enemy. If you remember the [Qactuar] from the Thunder Plains, then think of this fiend as its older cousin. It has the same high evasion rate, so it will be hard to hit the creature. In addition to the normal physical attack, Cactuars have 10,000 Needles at their disposal, which does 10,000 damage to a single character. There’s no defending that at any point, until you gain access to Break HP Limit, if you decide to go down that route. As with Qactuars, these fiends like to run away and will always do it if they go under 50% HP. The main draw of Cactuars is that they give a lot of AP, up to 12,000 if you manage and Overkill. Attacks that can’t miss, like Overdrives and Aeons’ specials, are great. The special, Use, is also good for Cactuars.
