If you want to get all trophies or get max achievement score with RE4 Remake, you’re going to need to find all weapons to get the Gun Fanatic trophy/achievement, this includes all the knives in the game. You can miss one at the start of the game if you’re not checking carefully, or your exploration is hurried due to a certain new bull-head enemy. Fortunately, these are consumable, and can be obtained later. Read below to find the location of the first Kitchen Knife in Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Kitchen Knife Location¶
Progress through the story until you reach the farm area. This is the area where you’ll get bombarded by villagers throwing dynamites at you. You can shoot the dynamite villagers from the start of the area, but be ready to move if a dynamite lands near you. Once you’ve taken them out, sneak through the area while following the left wall, and you’ll eventually find a gate with a Blue Medallion Request. Continue sneaking, and go through the small metal gate to the right of it, disarm the explosive, and grab the Yellow Herb before climbing the ladder.
Proceed through the gap in the wall onto the balcony, and follow it to the end where some breakables are with a breakable window to your right. Vault into the house, and take out the villager with a stealth take down. As you approach the ladder, be prepared to meet the new bullhead villager with a War Hammer who’ll bust through the doors at the bottom. This will also alert nearby villagers. Jump back out of the window you just vaulted over, and stand your ground here.

Take out any Villagers that reach the top of the ladder with your handgun, and when the bull-head approaches you, switch over to your shotgun (you did pick this up, right?) and fire a few well-placed shells at its head which should take it out. If it doesn’t, keep blasting away until it does. When all the enemies are defeated, go down the ladder where you’ll find a couple of tables next to each other. One will have the Story Item Wooden Cog, and the other will have the Kitchen Knife.

As stated above, you do need a Kitchen Knife for the trophy/achievement, but as these are consumable, you will find more. But as it’s only going to get more difficult from here on out, another knife is nothing to scoff at.
