While playing through Resident Evil 4 Remake you’ll complete challenges that will earn you CP (Challenge Points). You can then use these to unlock a variety of accessories, some of which can completely change the way you play the game, although these are locked behind some of the more difficult challenges. Read below to find a list of all accessories including which ones are the best such as the Cat Ears.
How to Unlock All Accessories¶
As stated above, you can earn CP throughout the game by completing challenges. You can find the challenge list on the main menu under Bonuses > Challenges. This will show you what you need to do to complete them, although some harder challenges will be hidden. Once you have the required CP, head to the Extra Content Shop which can be found in the Bonuses menu where you can spend that hard-earned CP for various rewards such as Costumes, Weapons, Art, and Accessories.
When you purchase the extra content, head back to the main menu, select Main Story, and then select the EXTRAS menu. Here you’ll be able to change the costumes for both Leon, and Ashley as well as both of their accessories. When you start the game back up, you’ll have them equipped, regardless if you’ve already started the game.
Best Accessories in RE4 Remake¶
Here we will list the best accessories, and how to get them. These will all be something that offers more than cosmetic changes. The best accessory is a tough one between the Cat Ears or the Chicken Hat for us, but we opted for the Cat Ears because we value offense over defense more!
Where to Get the Cat Ears Infinite Ammo Accessory¶
Cat Ears allows all weapons to be reloaded indefinitely without using the ammo items in your possession thus giving you infinite ammo. This accessory will set you back 2,000 CP, but you’ll need to unlock it first. To do this, you’ll need to complete the game on Professional Mode with an S+ Rank.
Where to Get the Chicken Hat Accessory¶
The second on the list is the ridiculous looking Chicken Hat. This accessory will greatly reduce the amount of damage you receive. You could say this accessory is a must for the harder difficulties. This accessory will also set you back 2,000 CP, and you’ll need to unlock it by finishing the game on the Hardcore or higher difficulty with an S+ Rank.
Where to Get the Deer Antlers Accessory¶
The Deer Antlers accessory is a must when tackling the Minimalist trophy/achievement which involves you completing the game only using knives/handguns. As the Deer Antlers greatly increases the power of knife attacks, you can see why this is good. You can unlock these for 2,000 CP, and completing the main story on the Standard or higher difficulty with an S+ Rank.
Where to Get the Wolf Tail Accessory¶
The Wolf Tail accessory is one of the more fun accessories in the game as it’ll greatly increase your attack power with melee. This accessory will set you back 2,000 CP, and you’ll need to finish the main story on Assisted Mode or higher with an S+ Rank.
Where to Get the Gas Mask Accessory¶
This is a decent accessory for people who don’t have the best aim, especially if you’re playing on console as it allows you to use Aim Assist regardless of difficulty. But, considering you need to complete the game on Professional Mode, you’re probably too good for this accessory anyway. It does look cool though. This will cost you 2,000 CP.
