This page offers a guide on how to find potential clients in the Happy Home Paradise DLC for Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
If you haven’t completed your first vacation home, head over to our guide on how to design the perfect relaxing reading room for Eloise! Or if you haven’t even started the DLC yet, check out our page on how to start the DLC content.
Looking for Clients in the Happy Home Paradise DLC¶
After you finish up your first client’s house, you’ll return to the Paradise Planning receiption building and Lottie will inform you that to get most of your clients you’ll need to head out and find them yourself!
She mentions that a lot of holiday go-ers hang out on the beach out front and if you speak to them you could persuade them to let you decorate a dream vacation home for them! Head outside and follow the path down to the beach near the dock. Niko will tell you that when you go near a vacationing villager, you’ll be able to see their dream vacation (a speech bubble gives you clues). You’ll find two villagers waiting around on the beach, it’s up to you which you want to help out this time round - just pick whichever concept you prefer!
When you first pick out a client, you’ll only have the option of two different vacation go-ers, but later in the game you’ll have a super busy beach front with lots of potential clients!
Picking a Vacation Home Location¶
When you agree to help design their dream vacation home, you’ll have the option to choose their vacation home location. There’s a bunch of different lots to choose from, some have bigger gardens, and some are in different seasons or have lakes or rivers in their gardens.
You could choose whatever lot you want but perhaps you want to keep it in theme - for example, if someone wants a snowy themed house you could use one of the snowy lots. Or, if they like the beach, put them on a beach lot!
When you’ve chosen a lot, you’ll be teleported to that vacation home to begin designing! Depending on who you’ve chosen, you’ll have certain required items that you need to keep in mind. Head over to our vacation home designs section for inspiration on how to decorate certain themes if you’re stuck! You can also change their season by pressing X.
