This page offers a guide on how to design and decorate the perfect room for the Vacation Home titled ‘My Forested Jungle’ for Yuka, during the Happy Home Paradise DLC.
If you haven’t started the Happy Home Paradise DLC yet, head over to our guide on how to start the DLC for information on beginning the DLC content.
Required Items for My Forested Jungle¶
The required items for a client’s concept will always be packed and ready to use in boxes at the center of their home. You can unpack them by clicking on them. For My Forested Jungle, you will need to include x1 Titan arum, x1 Fan Palm and x1 Peacock Chair.
They don’t have to remain the same colour, you can customize their color variation using . For a quick reminder/tutorial on how to use decorating mode, which is a pretty huge aspect of this DLC, head over to our guide on how to decorate and check out the latest decorating tool, the Pro Decorating License.
In the Order section of the furniture inventory, you’ll be given some furniture suggestions that might be a nice match with their required items. Again, you don’t have to use them but it can give you some nice inspiration.
My Forested Jungle Design Ideas¶
The Titan arum is a large plant that would be much better suited to being used outside. Using required items to decorate the garden also counts and sometimes the required items are found outside. Although the Titan arum is in a box inside the house, you could easily decorate the exterior with it instead. You’ll also have access to a lot of vines and glowing moss items. You could decorate your garden with the jungle items and then remodel the exterior of the home to match the jungle aesthetic by pressing whilst hovering over the house.
After you’ve decorated the exterior, you’ll want to head in and create a nice house that also reflects the ‘My Forested Jungle’ theme. This doesn’t necessarily mean you need to add lots of vines and titan arums, you could add normal furniture and then decorate with potted and hanging plants! The rattan furniture is available in Yuka’s catalogue and these could be a good choice for furniture that has a more natural appearance.
There are a lot of woodland and jungle wallpapers but if you’re trying to make a jungle themed house rather than a straight forest then perhaps they feel a little too jungle-y for you. We used the Jungle Wall wallpaper as an accent and then had Wooden-Mosaic wall on the rest of the walls.
Before you finish up and talk to Yuka, make sure you’ve added small finishing touches such as rugs and wall decorations - there are a few hanging plants and plant-themed rugs that would look really good in a jungle/forest home.
