This is a guide on what Traversal Skills are and how to get them in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Exploring the world of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will undoubtedly lead to situations where you may find yourself at a roadblock, due to some manner of environmental phenomenon preventing you from going further. The reason for this is that you will be lacking a critical Traversal Skill that allows you to go through that area. One of the first instances of this will likely be the purple vines in Millick Meadows, which let you reach the Murmur Rise area of the Aetia Region. There’s only four Traversal Skills in the game, and two of them will be acquired during the main story, with the other two being optional.
How to Get Traversal Skills in Xenoblade Chronicles 3¶
So, how does one get these Traversal Skills? All of the Traversal Skills are tied to Hero Quests, which are the quests that unlock Heroes for you to use in battle as a seventh party member. As already mentioned, two of the four are tied to quests that are required in order to progress to the main story. The other two are considered optional, but it’s a good idea to do them, as other quests might require them.
The following table is a list of all the Traversal Skills in the game, as well as which Hero Quests need to be done in order to unlock the skills. For more information on each Traversal Skill, you can visit the dedicated page.
