This is a guide for Chapter 2 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, covering the journey to reach Millick Meadows.
You’ll begin Chapter 2 near the Gura Flava Camp, after a good night’s sleep, dramatic flashbacks aside. The team finally begin to set out for Swordmarch, but the journey ahead is sure to be long and perilous.
Hermit’s Alleyway¶
First, you’ll want to head south through Hermit’s Alleyway, which is a relatively short tunnel. Inside, there are some Shadow Vang monsters, but they’re easy as pie compared to the previous Moebius battle. There’s also a container that you can open.
At the end of the tunnel, inspect the cube-shaped rock to push it out of the way. Then proceed up the slope to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Back outside, to your left is Alfeto Valley. If you want, head that way to activate a ladder contraption, which lets you quickly get back here again. Once you’re done or otherwise, keep going south towards the next big area: Millick Meadows.
Millick Meadows¶
As you enter, you’ll trigger a panorama cutscene of the area. Ahead is the first landmark here: Kilmarris Highland. From here, cautiously follow the path down. If you fall down, you likely won’t survive (although you’ll just respawn right near the landmark).
A short distance away, you’ll trigger a cutscene where Noah shares his thoughts and the gang briefly rests. During this time, they notice a peculiar structure in the distance. That’s your next destination, located due south.
