Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Escaping from Colony 4

By
Vincent Lau

This is a guide for Chapter 2 of Xenoblade Chronicles 3, covering the escape from Colony 4.

(1 of 2) Head up this slope near the south-east corner of Racine’s Platter.

Head up this slope near the south-east corner of Racine’s Platter. (left), You may want to activate the ladder contraption along the way too. (right)

When you’re ready, make your way south-east towards the far corner of Racine’s Platter, near the Dome of Stahl. It’s east from where you fought the Gyanna Aspar. You’re looking for a slope that leads you a bit higher up. Once you’re at the top of the slope, take a right to trigger the next cutscene.

After learning a bit more of Noah’s past, continue ahead (west) for a bit. Near the corner where you can turn left (south), in the opposite direction, there’s a ladder contraption you can activate to create a shortcut from the ground level of Racine’s Platter.

After the turn, there’s another main quest marker near the entrance to Nih’l Valley. Get ready for another cutscene!

Gorge of Odie

(1 of 2) No time to admire the sights, sadly.

Drat, you’re being targeted by Colony 4. They’ll force you into the Gorge of Odie, located west. Quickly head west through the gorge, while fending off enemies pursuing you. These include Equites (mechanoid foes) and various Kevesi troops, such as Snipers, Blockers etc. They’re all around the Level 14, 15 range.

After a few run-ins, you should reach the next main quest marker.

Bennel Cave

(1 of 2) It’s dark and dreary here, but tougher for foes to chase you.

The gang decide to escape into a nearby tunnel. The goal is the same though: head in the opposite direction of the chasing Kevesi troops.

This time, there are monsters to deal with too. Keep your eyes/ears peeled for your party members warning you of incoming Kevesi enemies. If this happens, avoid engaging any enemies at the same time or you could bite off more than you can chew.

Eventually, you’ll reach a narrow area with one of those rocks that needs two people to shove. After that is yet another main quest marker. Walking in this one will trigger a Kevesi fight. After winning the fight, you’ll get another short cutscene.

Keep pressing ahead to discover the Bennel Cave Camp, where you can rest up. Yes, even when you’re chased by angry soldiers.

At the end of the tunnel, you’ll emerge at Hegemon’s Seat, right near the most important quest marker yet.
