This is a guide for the Prison Refurbishment Standard Quest in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
How to Start the Prison Refurbishment Standard Quest¶
In order to begin this quest, you will need to have done Segiri’s Hero Quest, Inhumanity, as well as the quest that will follow it, In Search of a Home. This will move the Colony 0 residents to the Li Garte Prison. You should be able to find two residents that have pieces of Info for you, No. 3 and No. 10, netting you the Life in Li Garte Prison Info. Discuss this to start the quest.
How to Complete the Prison Refurbishment Standard Quest¶
There are still some residents of Colony 0 who are wary about stay in a prison, so the party thinks about making the place a little more homey for them. Of course, this is a huge undertaking, as the prison is a large place. Segiri suggests speaking with No. 6, as he was the one who dealt with managing resources. Speak with No. 6, who after a little convincing, agrees to the plan. He mentions a “guy” he knows for some resources, who is a wandering Nopon that deserted from the Nopon Caravan. He mentions that he is hiding out in the Maktha Wildwood, specifically the Vista of Rhonnar area.
Teleport to that landmark and there will be a search circle in the area just west of it. This is one of the few instances in the game where it doesn’t point you straight to the objective, as you need to find this Nopon in the area. However, if you look at your map in the upper right, you should notice the green dot on it, which is a NPC. So, the Nopon is in the bottom right corner, behind the pillar; approach him to initiate a cutscene. Wheelideeli will help you, but his procurement tool was stolen by a monster.
Where to Find Wheelideeli’s Work Tool¶
Wheelideeli mentions that a Gogol stolen his tool and that it’s still in Maktha Wildwood. What he neglects to mention is that the Gogol is in Lower Maktha Wildwood. If you haven’t been there yet, then go to the Sparkling Pool Camp and begin heading east, along the wooden walkway there. When you reach the climbable wall guarded by some Tirkins, ignore it and continue following the ground path. This will eventually take you to Lower Maktha Wildwood, which is filled with level 70+ enemies, so you will need to be extremely careful. This area is filled with a bunch of poison pools, which will slowly drain your health if you’re on them, but you are safe now, since you’ve already done Segiri’s Hero Quest.
From the Warning Tree landmark, head east to the wall, and follow it south, until it breaks to the east. Continue east, up the hill, and be extremely mindful of the Keves Squad at the top, as they will likely be a higher level than the normal monsters down here (especially if you’ve liberated all of the Colonies at this point). Just past that Keves Squad is one final poison pool and on the opposite side is a level 55 Staahl Gogol. That is your target, so sneak over to it and do battle. Note that it is pretty strong, though, so it won’t go down without a struggle.
After defeating the Gogol, return to Wheelideeli at the Vista of Rhonnar area to give him his item. He will then move to the prison, so go back there and talk to find out how it’s going down. Basically, you will be paying a total of 500,000 G, but in installments. For each time you pay an installment, the prison will “level up,” which adds things depending on the level. This isn’t all too much, but there will be a Container added for each level, and the first one will also add a Fabricator at the exit leading to the Perimeter Woodland. The below amounts are what will be needed.
- 50,000 G
- 70,000 G
- 100,000 G
- 130,000 G
- 150,000 G
