How to Start the Rules of The Hunt Standard Quest¶
Progress through the game until you reach Chapter 4 and work your way through the Great Cotte Falls, then continue onwards until you reach High Maktha Wildwood. Here you’ll ambushed by a team from Colony Tau which will trigger the Hero Quest, Natural Selection which will unlock the Rope Sliding ability. Continue working your way through High Maktha Wildwood until you reach Syra Hovering Reefs. Here you’ll need to complete the Hero Quest, The Wrath of Ashera to gain access to Colony 11.
Walk around Colony 11 and listen into conversations by pressing until you are given the “Easel’s Unit” Info Fragment, then discuss it at the Colony 11 Canteen to unlock this quest!
Where To Find Obsidian Berrys and Monstrum Mangos¶
Your first steps into finding Easel’s Unit is to collect 10 Obsidian Berrys and 10 Monstrum Mangos which can be found by picking up shinies along the High Maktha Wildwood Path. Alternatively, you can gather these items from the Fabricator in the Great Cotte Falls Area, but it will take a fair amount of tries to get the drop, so we’d suggest going between using the fabricator and following the High Maktha Wildwood Path to collect them faster.
After you’ve gathered 10 of both Obsidian Berrys and Monstrum Mangos, return to Colony 11 and speak with Hexen who can be found standing near the Canteen. Here you’ll discover that Easel’s Unit can be found around Caitlin Drum, so open up your map and fast travel over to the Magglia Lake Landmark in the Fornis Region. Follow the path around until you reach the upper area, then continue northeast until you find Easel near a tree.
After the scene interact with the Herbivore Tracks by pressing , then follow tracks along until you reach the Magglia Lake. You’ll now need to help Easel defeat a Hantis Answel. This enemy is around Level 46, so as long as you’re around level 44-45, then you’ll be able to take it down. Like always, make sure you’ve got any available buffs active to increase damage and make use of the Chain Attack when it becomes active. Once you’ve defeated the Hantis Answel, return to the Colony 11 Canteen to bring this quest to a close.
