Activision has revealed that Modern Warfare 2 is getting campaign rewards players can take into Multiplayer and Spec Ops upon launch. There will be the likes of new Operators, consumable goodies, as well as other player profile decorations to get your hands on. Here is everything we know about the MW2 campaign rewards.
MW2 Campaign Rewards Explained¶
The MW2 camping rewards are fairly extensive and unlock gradually as you play through the campaign. Activision has provided a list of MW’s campaign rewards, which unlock in a certain order. That order is:
- Calling Card: “Soap’s Determination”
- Emblem: “What’s Done Is Done”
- 30 Minute Double XP Token
- 30 Minute Double Weapon XP Token
- Calling Card: “Chainlinked”
- Base Operator: Chuy
- 30 Minute Double XP Token
- 30 Minute Double Weapon XP Token
- Calling Card: “Gaz”
- Base Operator: Nova
- 1 Hour Double XP Token
- 1 Hour Double Weapon XP Token
- Calling Card: “Shadow Company Ops”
- Base Operator: Reyes
- 1 Hour Double XP Token
- 1 Hour Double Weapon XP Token
- Base Operator: Hutch
As you can see by the list, this is a great way to kick-start your multiplayer experience. The double XP bonuses you can get will improve that leveling process when you finally get to multiplayer, thanks to its 3 hours of cumulative double XP. Meanwhile, you’ll have more Operators to personalize your experience online.
Moreso, these MW2 campaign rewards can be unblocked at any time. So, no matter if you’re getting teh game at launch, or for a Christmas gift, you can jump into the campaign, get all the goodies, and then head straight to multiplayer. Overall, the campaign’s rewards are fairly decent and will make that early unlocking experience in the CoD multiplayer much better.
MW2 Union Guard Blueprint¶
If you complete the entire campaign, you will get the biggest prize of all the MW2 Campaign rewards, the Union Guard. This is the prize possession of Cpt. Price, a specially designed M4, with a union jack engraved into the barrel. The MW2 Union Guard comes with its own preset attachments, featuring:
- Sight: Aim OP-V4 Reflex Optic
- Barrel: SZ 1M PEQ Laser
- Muzzle: FSS Covert V Silencer
- Underbarrel: Lockgrip Precision-40 Vertical Grip.
When compared to the original M4, this Blueprint offers the M4 some built-in vertical and horizontal recoil control. In addition, the laser sight aims to control the hip fire when necessary. There is also the added bonus of the silencer, granting mini-map tactical advantages when firing, and a decent scope so you can paint your target.
This is a fairly standard setup for an Assault Rifle, which makes a great entry point for those looking to head into multiplayer with a great AR off the bat, so you choose to complete the campaign first.
The Modern Warfare 2 campaign releases on October 21, giving players one-week weary access to the campaign. Players can get their hands on that and be ready for the official multiplayer and spec ops launch on October 28. It’s ample time to grab the guns and get ready for your multiplayer experience. If you’re joining in later than the launch, then the MW2 campaign rewards are still worth picking up.
