Quickscoping is back in MW2, with the marksman rifles and mobile snipers being the absolute bain of many people’s existence. However, there are certain snipers and MM rifles better than others. So, let’s take a look at the best quick-scope classes in MW2.
Best Quickscope classes in MW2¶
There are four quick scopes classes in MW2 that come to mind. These are the SP-R 208, SA-50, Lockwood MK2, and the SP-X 80 sniper rifle.
The SP-R 208 class setup is as follows
- Barrel: 12.5“ Carbon Barrel
- Optic: Either use a sniper scope for the quick scope feel, or a smaller magnification for more mobile ADS gameplay. Whatever you prefer.
- Stock: ZRL T70 Pad Extension
- Comb: Aim-Assist 406
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
The SP-R 208 is the best early-rank quick-scoping class in MW2. This is unlocked from the beginning and can be specced to give the SP-R incredible bolt action chamber reloads, better ammo size, and increase your ADS speeds. This gun works incredibly well with aim assist, making scoping flawless
The best quick scoping class setup in MW2 for the SA-B 50 this is as follows:
- Barrel: 12.5“ Carbon Barrel
- Laser: Corio LAZ-44 V3
- Optic: Preference scope
- Rear Grip: Shlager Match Grip
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
This best quick scope class setup for the SA-B 50 once again specs highly into ADS speeds. You also get the same bolt speed improvement in the SP-R too. The downside is that the barrel will improve your ADS speed, but it comes at the cost of a poorer range. You will likely need to use a sniper scope, such as the SP-X 80 or equivalent, for better long-range scope-ins.
Once you get through the SP-R’s weapon platform, you will unlock the SA-B 50, which is significantly better than the SP-R for ADS and mobility. Keep this in mind as you make your way through the quick scoping weapon platform.
Lockwood MK 2 Class setup is as follows
- Muzzle: FTAC Reaper
- Guard: Lockwood Commando Guard
- Lazer: VLK LZR 7MW
The Lockwood MK 2 is not as quick-scopey, as it plays like a repeater with one-shot potential closer range. It’s a more forgiving quick-scope class setup for players looking to practice with the playstyle, thanks to its fast chambering built into the gun. But, once you’re more set on the playstyle, you then want to progress that Bryson long weapon platform and work your way through the SP-R and then into the SA-B for the ultimate quick-scope playstyle.
SP-X 80 Class setup is as follows
- Barrel: 18.5“ Bryson LR Factory
- Laser: Shlager PEQ Box IV
- Bolt: FSS ST87 Bolt
- Stock: PVX Stock
- Rear Grip: Schlager Rear Grip
You can also do it with the Victus XMR if you want to do some quick scoping with a proper sniper rifle, but its ADS speed is noticeably slower in comparison to the SA-B. However, its ADS speeds are still fast. Your best bet is to use the SP-X once you unlock it, which is considered the best sniper. The SP-X shares similar ADS speeds with the other Bryson Long MM rifles, and can one-hit kill at long distances as it is a sniper rifle. This is the end goal of your quick scoping class setups in MW2.
Perks for the best Quickscope classes in MW2¶
The perks you want to use to support the best Quickscope classes in MW2 are as follows:
- Double Time
- Scavenger
- Fast Hands
- Quick Fix or High Alert
The Double Time is handy for getting into new positions and getting where you need to be or out of the way of awkward gunfights. The Scavenger perk lets you replenish your ammo reserve for quick scopes you get up close. Fast Hands is necessary on all these guns because of the small ammo cartridge you have for each Bryson Long weapon, and the single-round reload at a time for the Lockwood.
Finally, you have the Quick Fix or High Alert for your ultimate perks. The Quick Fix perk will easily top up your HP if you got hit as you one-shot someone with your weapons. Meanwhile, the High Alert will let you know if someone you haven’t seen is aiming at you so you can spin around and one-tap them too.
This concludes the best quick scope classes in MW2. Have fun abusing the Bryson Long weapon platform and getting that kill-feed montage in your game.
