This page will provide you with the necessary information related to the MGB Nuke in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2).
What is The MGB Nuke in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II¶
If you cast your mind back to the original Modern Warfare 2 in 2009 you’ll remember the Tactical Nuke which was obtained upon getting 25 Kills without dying. Activating this killstreak will wipe out all players and end the match earning you a nice victory. Throughout the life of the original MW2 we got to see various challenges related to this killstreak, such as “Throwing Knife Nuke Challenge”, so will we get to see these memories recreated in the latest addition to the Call of Duty franchise?
Can You Get A Nuke Killstreak in MW2?¶
Unfortunately, a nuke wasn’t available in the MW2 beta, but Infinity Ward have included one for the full game which was released on October 28th, 2022. Unlike previous CoDs the MGB Nuke doesn’t have to have to take up one of your three Killstreak slots in order to use it, so this time around you’ll need to get 30 Kills without dying and then you’ll get a prompt to press on PS5 or on Xbox to activate MGB causing everyone to die and bringing the match to a close like in previous games.
Additionally, if Infinity Ward have followed the requirements for a Nuke like in previous games, then any kills you get with other killstreak will not count towards your 30 Kill, so you’ll have to earn them purely through Guns and Lethals. As you may have noticed getting a 30 killstreak in CoD is a very difficult goal to aim for and only some of the best players out there will get to experience unleashing this beast in a match.
