The STB 556 is one of the bullet hose AR’s in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, spewing out rounds art great accuracy. It’s by far one of the better assault rifles, especially for those looking to take it from their lobbies into the Warzone 2 and DMZ game modes. The good news is that you don’t need to do anything too drastic to switch up the STB 556 playstyle. With no further ado, here is a closer look at a great STB 556 loadout for Warzone 2 and DMZ.
Best STB 556 loadout for Warzone 2 and DMZ¶
The main way you play the STB 556 for Warzone 2 and DMZ is to adjust the weapon for long range playstyles. The reason why is because of the size of the map. You’re likely to econuter lots of fights outdoors. Moreso, you don’t need to worry too much about close quarters, thanks to this weapon’s natural bullet damage and rate of fire of this weapon, making it a great pick for close-range fights without even specializing in it. The loadout attachments you want to use in ths STB 556 loadout is as follows:
- Barrel: Bruen Turaco 686MM or FB20
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
- Ammunition High Velocity
- Magazine: 42 round magazine
- Optic of choice or FTAC Castle Comp if you use the FB20.
Anyway, the core of the STB 556 Warzone 2 loadout is to increase you bullet velocity to make your bullets more easier to track on moving targets. This is primarily done via the ammunition attachment tunes for velocity, as long as you’re max level with the weapon. Moreso, you take the Bruen Turaco barrel to enhance your range and bullet velocity aswell, largely thanks to its built in silencer. The underbarrel of choice is the Ripper, as it grants the best aiming idle stability and solid handling control.
Lastly, you get the magazine upgrade, as the STB 556 ammo count is pretty awkward, and fighting players at range result in lots of bullets going to waste. It’s also handy against the close range SMGs since most of the competitive SMGs build into more magazine count or have ahigh base count magazine size anyway.
The only downside to this build is that you lack ADS speed. So, keep that in mind if you get into those close range hectic ADS matters moments. There’s also a little bit of bullet sway left and right at very far away distances during an extended spray. Though, this is a minor incontinence. If you can’t handle it as you prefer to spray, change the barrel and the optic in exchange for the FTAC FB20, and use the FTAC Castle Comp to eliminate the horizontal recoil. Note you will return back to insights, slightly weakening the long-range playstyle, but this build variance is still viable.
STB 556 Class Setup in Warzone 2 and DMZ¶
Now you’re onto the rest of your class setup options. You are more than likely going to take:
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor or Spotter Scope
- Lethal: Frag Grenade or Drill Charge
- Secondary: Preference
- Perk Package: Scout or Recon
The tactical of choice depends on your or your teams drop , or circle playstyle. The Spotter Scope is fantastic for spotting enemies at a distance, marking their body with a red diamond, which you can scan and ping their location for yourself and your team. You and your team can get those long-distance fights in your favor much easier.
On the other hand, the Heartbeat Sensor is a great tactical for those closer ranges and high building density moments. You can spot out the campers hiding in buildings, round corners, or in some form of rotation tracking. You can use your pre-aiming skills or your lethal to make the first move against the hostiles you have spotted.
As for your lethal, you will want Drill Charge or Frag Grenade. Frag Grenades are incredibly handy for those grenades you want o to throw long in outdoor spaces, or get into those high-up camper windows or long corridors. Meanwhile, Drill Charge is perfect for flushing enemies out of their camping spots, or in those awkward final circle battles where the enemy has the tiniest bit of cover. Overall, it’s a preferential choice, depending on your playstyle, map situation, and strategy.
Lastly, the perk package you want to take is either Scout or Recon. Scout is great for getting ammo resupplies through Scavenger, and the Strong Arm perk to make those long-distance grenade throws even better. You also get Focus, which reduces flinching, and Ghost, which is excellent if an enemy player activates UAV.
Meanwhile, if you choose to stalk your prey, Recon grants you Double Time and Tracker. It also grants Focus, which again is great, and you get Bird’s Eye, which is incredibly handy for when you get UAV. Overall, this perk package offers great information tracking against other squads through its perks or your tactical gadget of choice. Again, it’s all based on preference and your own playstyle.
This concludes our STB 556 loadout for Warzone 2 and DMZ. Good luck with the new battle royal experience!
