What is Domination in Call of Duty¶
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a new addition to the franchise which was released on October 28th, 2022. It’s a continuation from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which was developed by Infinity Ward and published on the 25th of October 2019. It comes packed with a variety of content, such as the graphically stunning Campaign, Spec Ops, and Multiplayer which offers a lot of maps and changes this time around.
Domination is one of the 13 Game Modes you can select from in MW2 at launch and it’s one of the more popular modes available. However, some players may find themselves confused with how the scoring system works and some make little mistakes which could be making the matches more difficult. This game mode is 6v6 and requires you hold objective points A,B and C by standing near it in order to score points, but if the opposition is standing inside it at the same time, then the objective marker won’t continue until someone is dead.
Best Way To Win a Match of Domination in CoD MW2¶
In order to win a game of Domination one team will need to reach 200 points and you get points by holding any of the objective points. You will get 1 point every 5 seconds per objective, so holding all 3 will bag you 3 points every 5 seconds. However, a common mistake players make is capturing all three points, as this will cause the enemies spawns to be random making it harder for you to judge what direction they’ll be coming from.
The best way to play Domination is to capture two points, then split the team into 2 and have each group defend each point. Ideally, you’ll want to have two players standing near the objective so they can prevent the opposition from capturing, then have another player sitting in the distance with a long range weapon, such as a Battle Rifle so they can pick off enemies as they get closer. Players standing near the objective will want to bring along a Deployable Cover and a Trophy System, as this will keep you from standing out in the open and will stop Grenades from flying in!
