The BAS-P and the Victus XMR are the two new weapons in Modern Warfare 2’s season 1 launch. The two weapons are featured in the battle pass, for both free and paid users. Players will need to grind the game to get the battle pass done, if they want to unlock the BAS-P and the Victus XMR in MW2.
How to unlock the Victus XMR and BAS-P in MW2¶
You can only unlock the two new weapons by grinding through the battle pass. If you click on the battle pass tab in your MW2 game, you will notice a map, replacing the old, linear battle pass system. You cannot progress through the battle pass by completing tiles on the battle pass. Each player starts at level A-1. Once you get the four rewards and the HVT reward on that tile, you can advance to a new one. It will take 5 tier skip tokens to complete a tile. If you want the BAS-P, you need to go right two tiles towards A6, and if you want the Victus XMR, you can head three times upwards for the A7 tile.
To progress the battle pass, you will need to get battle pass tier skip, which you can unlock by playing the game. You will need five tier skips to complete the tile, before you can move to the next one. It will take 30 tier to skip to get both weapons. The quickest one to get is the BAS-P, as you need 15 at the start of the pass, while the Victus will take 20 at the start.
Once you have got both weapon, the paid users can then branch further into the tiles to get their hands on the blueprints for each weapon. The Bas-P has a blueprint on A20, called the Tokoloshe, built for precision sight, ads speed, and sprint speed. Meanwhile, the Victus’s Basileus blueprint is on A-15, and is designed for thermal targeting and bullet velocity. Note that these are premium battle pass owners rewards only, so free players will only be able to get their hands on the free weapons.
If you want to speed the process up, you can upgrade to the Vault edition, get the battle pass for free, and then get a few tier skips. The base 1100 Cod points don’t grant any tier skips, while the most expensive one grants 20. The Vault edition of CoD also comes with 50, which you can use the 30 to get the weapons right away if you so wish, saving the other 20 for future battle pass weapon skips, or progressing through the tiles for the other content you want to unlock from this pass.
