The Bas-P is the brand new SMG that launched with Season 1’s release of Modern Warfare 2. The gun is a little powerhouse, allowing players to spew rounds at incredible speeds, while offering strong default movement speed and ADS speeds to match. However, it has its recoil and accuracy downsides, so you want to adjust that build whenever you can. Here is a closer look at the BAS-P loadout in MW2 that you should use to improve it.
BAS-P loadout for MW2¶
The main focus of this build is trying to maintain the ADS and sprint-to-fire speeds, while offering great ADS, but reducing that recoil kick the gun has. You will notice that the weapon has a considerable recoil kick after the second bullet in a spray. The aim is to mitigate that, and keeping the benefits./ We conclude that the best attachments in your Bas-P loadout in MW2 is as follows:
- Barrel: 12“ Bruen SZ-36
- Muzzle: FTAC Castle Comp or Forge DX90-F
- Underbarrel Phase 3 Grip or VX Pineapple
- Stock: Bruen Flash V4 Stock
- Rear Grip: Bruen Flash Grip
The aim of this build is to get still the decent sprint to fire and ADS speed through the stock and rear grip, while getting better recoil stabilization through the barrel, muzzle and under the barrel. There is some preference in this, such as wanting to use a silencer or compensator, but both are fine and still mitigate recoil. On the other hand,m the underbarrel can either center your bullet spray more through the Phase-3 Grip, or use the VX Pineapple if you want some hip fire accuracy. However, the general goal of the gun is the same, it is just your end product is slightly different.
You should find the gun still gets to use within the 0-30 meter range, albeit, you’ll notice is a bit of a kick around the second bullet against targets around 20 meters away. Though, it’s not too hard to manage if you pull down on your recoil ever so slightly.
Best BAS-P Class Setup in MW2¶
Now you’ve done with your BAS-P Loadout in MW2, you now need the rest of the class setup, which are:
- Tactical: Flash Grenades
- Lethal: Choice of Frag, Semtex or Drill Charge
- Secondary: Preference
- Field Upgrade: Dead Silence, preference in your second slot
- Perk 1: Double Time
- Perk 2: Bomb Squad or Battle Hardened
- Bonus Perk: Focus
- Ultimate Perk: Ghost
Your tactical nine times out of ten are typically flash grenades. These retina destroyers last for a significant while and are easy to pull off. It’s the got- choice for lots of situations thanks to how good they are.
Meanwhile, your lethal depends on your playstyle preference. Drill Charge is good on maps with many walls and annoying camping or anchor spots. The Frag Grenades are also good for long-range yeets and bouncing them off the objective to get great kills. Semtex is also fast-reacting to get precise kills for objective or close-range flushes. Overall, it is more about the setting and what you need.
As for your secondary, the X12 is a great weapon, and the Deagle is fairly good to use, thanks to its range. But, you can use whatever or even equip a launcher if it’s a killstreak-heavy game for the enemy team.
As for the Field Upgrade, you want Dead Silence. When you have the pro setting unlocked, you can take a preferential one, such as Battle Rage, for when you know big fights are coming, or you can use Trophy System if you’re playing the hardpoint or other important objective.
Moving onto your basic perks, you want Double Time, and the preference picks to counter throwables. Throwables in MW2 are powerful, so Battle-Hardened is handy to get better chances of fighting against flashbang spam, or Bomb Squad is good if you’re in a position where a quick drill change or semtex can change your game.
Focus is a great bonus perk for the competitive players out there. This is useful as it helps players against the flinch mechanic. This is great, especially since the BAS-P has some awkward accuracy and recoil, so removing flinch’s more potent aspects is certainly desirable.
As for your ultimate perk, you want Ghost. UAVS are very powerful in MW2, so getting Ghost to reduce the impact of UAVs is very strong. Do be warned, the game still seems to ping you, even if you have a silencer on your gun., So it’s not foolproof. It’s just handy for the flanks.
This concludes our BAS-P loadout for MW2. Good luck trying out this new and fun weapon.
